How to download TOS indicators? I click on Download/Indicators tab, then ThinkorSwim tab, then would find an indicator and click Download. From there I'd get a video file with an error message stating: "Can't Play...This file isn't playable. That might be because the file type is unsupported, the file extension is incorrect, or the file is corrupt". For the indicators i'm interested in I don't see the link to copy and paste into TOS Shared Item URL. Is it possible to simply get the scripts for "ZigZagHighLow_Price_PriceChgBubble_v1" and "Tape Speed Indicator V1.0 for ToS" so I can copy and paste into studies. Thanks
Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
The problem is, you seem to be trying to open the file in Windows, and your PC thinks it is a video. (TOS indicators end in ".ts" extension which happens to be an extension used by an obscure video format.)
First, please note that all TOS indicator files are denoted not only by the extension, but the file name itself must end in "STUDY.ts".
These files can only be imported into TOS by going to "Edit Studies" within TOS, finding the "Import" button, and clicking on it. This should open a file browsing dialog. In there, you want to navigate into your download directory, find the study file that you downloaded, highlight it, and click Open (or Import etc.) You should be all set at this point. Knowing the name of the study, you would then be able to find it in TOS in your list of available studies.
IF it is a shared item URK, copy the link and then go to the setup gear (upper right corner of TOS main screen) and click 'open shared item' - then past the URL in and go.
