CME Aurora Illinois Co-location?

Hi,

Sorry I dont see a Hosting section, I am new to futures, but experienced in low latency trading in other sectors. I am interested in trading CME Currencies. These are located in Aurora, Illinois.

Can anyone please suggest a good low latency server provider, preferably in the data centre or very close?

Also how do i get a low latency broker to the exchange? I am Australian. Is futures regulated or can I sign up to an American broker?

Thanks
Luke

We can connect Rithmic, CTS and CQG for low latency execution.

I am not sure if you need an API to your own device or you have a platform in mind.
For example, if you have your script for automation, we can connect it to the appropriate API.
We suggest to try out a platform first and see if it meets your needs.
Just trying to be cost conscious.

Give us a few more details and we could help.

Thank you,
Matt Z

thanks for the reply. all i need is to receive the tick and to send orders via c.

my algorithm is c and uses a bit of cpu so I dont know if that is suitable for hosted strategies. in the past i have found hosted strategies are more for convenience than performance, and a good linux server close to the exchange can have benefits.

as we both know latency cost scales exponentially so i was thinking just to get a cheap linux server <1ms RTT to establish proof of concept. is this something achievable?

on another note, do brokers publish limit order confirmation latency statistics in times of volatility? a 1ms connection doesnt help of your limit order takes 500ms to place!

You can use C with Rithmic connectivity. I am not sure how time sensitive is are your orders and their frequency, however, all orders are measurable. It could be measured up to the nanosecond.

If you want a trial of the Rithmic API, you can PM me and I will arrange it.

Thank you,
Matt Z

its very expensive to trial an order system, by placing live trades around times of news or volatility. this is something that would be useful to know about a system before signing up.

How could you know any API's latency unless you directly placed a trade from your location?
Rithmic could get be subpar millisecond but it also depends on your location, ISP, and other variables that affect it.

Thanks,
Matt Z

from experience with other products, there is latency between the order hitting the provider, for example Rithmic, and the order being confirmed in the order book on the exchange. I would like to know that latency. particularly in volatility when this latency widens.

just further on this:

latency from client to Rithmic: i can test any time, is cheap to evaluate, does not change with volatility
latency from Rithmic to exchange order book: i can not test without expensive live trades, expensive to evaluate, changes dramatically at busy periods.

just something on my wish list! and a bit of a stretch to ask of a provider.
