No offense of course, I find younger traders more willing to invest the time and effort towards their development. Older aspiring traders are more balanced and maintain a certain quality of life, which is understandable. The level of difficulty in this game is similar to that of professional sports. It takes an extreme commitment to make it. Is the MLB practicing ageism??

I would recommend just make a lot of meaningful posts. That way you will develop/foster relationships with others that might organically grow into the trading buddy you seek. Plus enable greater freedoms on the best trading forum.
