As every experienced trader knows, it is really hard to develop one system which really works. If you do, you want to make something with it, not renting it nor selling it.
After 30 years of coding and trading, losing millions in FX, S&P etc, I recently completed a system on Crude Oil which seems very promising. I am trading it on an interactive Brokers live demo account from MultiCharts. We are just starting a company with this. The system will be used to generate the interest rate payable in a Bank Certificate where the capital is guaranteed at maturity by the Bank.
As we have been able to generate a little more than 4% per month, without any leverage, we should be able to generate about 12% with a leverage of 3. This is our goal. Will see. We get paid between 25% to 50% of the profits generated on High Water Mark. Our largest drawdown is 5% of invested capital, 1% max loss per trade, and we are cash every night. No opening gaps.
I am not sure if this is the best business model, but, when you have a system which seems to be profitable, you want to earn a share of the revenue produced and keep control on the Intellectual Property.
I am confident that there are many systems out there which could produce good results, but many coders or traders are not expert in sales or are unable to put funds together, which is a business of its own.
If some of you have systems which perform as much as ours, or even better, and you cannot raise assets to manage, let me know. Maybe I can be of help. I have been a trader and put some structured products together since 1985, very active, so please only show me something which makes sense otherwise we will both lose time.
There are a few sites out there that publish result of various systems for a longer period of time
you can analyse and subscribe those signals, although none of the historical results is any guarantee
for future results.
