The community is one of the friendliest you will find on any subject, with members going out of their way to help others. Some of the primary differences between futures io and other trading sites revolve around the standards of our community. Those standards include a code of conduct for our members, as well as extremely high standards that govern which partners we do business with, and which products or services we recommend to our members.

At futures io, our focus is on quality education. No hype, gimmicks, or secret sauce. The truth is: trading is hard. To succeed, you need to surround yourself with the right support system, educational content, and trading mentors Ė all of which you can find on futures io, utilizing our social trading environment.

With futures io, you can find honest trading reviews on brokers, trading rooms, indicator packages, trading strategies, and much more. Our trading review process is highly moderated to ensure that only genuine users are allowed, so you donít need to worry about fake reviews.

We are fundamentally different than most other trading sites:
  • We are here to help. Just let us know what you need.
  • We work extremely hard to keep things positive in our community.
  • We do not tolerate rude behavior, trolling, or vendors advertising in posts.
  • We firmly believe in and encourage sharing. The holy grail is within you, we can help you find it.
  • We expect our members to participate and become a part of the community. Help yourself by helping others.

You'll need to register in order to view the content of the threads and start contributing to our community.  It's free and simple.

Brand new, meet me and input/communication needed.

First off, my names Austin, I have what you would say zero experience in trading. I'm young, 23, married for 4 years yesterday, served in the military and am completely financially stable. I own my house, I have zero debt and a lot to look forward to. I'd like to believe I am in better standing than most of my generation, but enough of that, now you have an idea of who I am.

I have been loading up on information from around the web, including a couple of ebooks, lots of google searches, broker/commission info and ultimately delving into ninjatrader and demo live trading to get my feet wet. I am still very new and do not understand A LOT of concepts but I am dedicating myself as best I can. I'm not here to get rich quick, or find "the way" I simply want to work my way to an impressive level of trading that may eventually let me just do what I want with my life. Right now, I realize it may never happen, but I know for sure it won't if I don't try. I will continue to work my job, which I do enjoy and make roughly 40k/year in an area where most people make a lot less.

What I'm trying to do with this initial introduction is get a couple of questions answered and maybe earn a couple of friends to follow and learn with or from. Right now I'm interested in nightly trading the ES futures since that is when i'll be fully available to trade most, is that a viable option? and with that I know there is an overnight margin that needs to be maintained, with ninjatrader that is over $5,000 right?. Also, if you use, or know of, a great news site that keeps up to date with news that pertains to the stock market as a whole and the S&P500 mostly. I'm mostly using major news networks at the time, and feel there has to be something else.

My starting information.
Market: E-mini S&P500 to start, with ventures into the other minis later.
Cash: I'd like to start with $7,500 initial investment, fully risk money that does not effect my living and trading 1 contract at a time, possibly 2 occasionally.
Platform: Ninjatrader with superdom and charting. Line charts appeal to me most, but i'd like to understand why a lot use candlesticks, something i'm going to research soon.

I've got more to throw in but i'd like to keep it below a massive wall of text and use this thread as the rest of the communication while I learn and read other threads around.
