The #1 classic and still the best is Reminiscences of a Stock Operator.
To start with something, look up 'Your First Trading System' on Kindle which will give you an objective way to trade.

Don't expect your skills (and success) to smoothly transfer over from poker to trading...... through there is a sizeable overlap. All the best.

Hmm... if you made a fortune in poker, why not keep playing poker? It sounds like you already have a profitable skill set. If you are already successful, there is a huge opportunity cost in learning something "new". Despite any similarities, trading is not poker. Don't let anyone fool you, or bluff you, as the case may be. Good luck.

Thanks,guys.
i've bought that reminiscences book already n look up for the other book.
i am moving bcos i see more dollars to be made in trading than poker :-) .i hate the week or month long poker downswings.
as i've made enough to support me from poker for a while,i think i may devote a lot of time to master trading.
i get it,trading is hard job.but i guess,with plenty of time,hard work & a pinch of talent-it's almost possible.

That is true, compared to poker, your income in trading is virtually unlimited. Top traders make way more than top poker players.

You will have downswings in trading too, can't escape that.

The important thing is to put your psychology before the technicals. In other words, scout for a trading style that goes well with your personality, and only then look for a consistent method. As in poker for instance, you cannot play a LAG style well if it doesn't fit with you.

An article from one of Dr. Brett's books on scouting for your trading strengths.

I dont think playing LAG or TAG is going to make you a good scalper. Its going to affect how much % you risk per trade (how many Big blinds/ table stakes) and your volatility (variance/risk of ruin).

just read and learn do the same think like with poker. Start with play money, go to small money tables and work your way up to bigger tables. Same idea for trading.
