I have been trading /investing for over 15 years ,have switched primarily to trading options ,mostly selling premium via spreads ,Iron condors and naked puts. Had good success for two years ,however am down thus far this year which I attribute to not sticking to my own methodology. I attended the NYC Money show in February and attended John Carter of Simpler options hour long free talk .He offered a $7 one month trial to his live trading room which I did and eventually took a few of his paid seminars (not cheap),but very informative. He knows his stuff is an excellent instructor ,but at the end of the day his biggest talent is in marketing as there is no end to his paid seminars. I gravitated to much of his methodology and mostly lost money, point partially no doubt because I let my emotions out of control as at he himself lets his emotions run out of control and often does not follow his own teaching and allot of his own trades look more like gambling . Any way bottom line I strayed away from keeping it simple and have to face the fact that this is my biggest weakness.
