Hello Mike and other members.
I look forward to using the forum to gain knowledge. I did a little bit of swing trading with a small account and was able to double my money within a years time. That sounds great but I had to have a gut check and realize that although I based my trading on what I believed to be sound moves based on technical analysis, my "system" so to speak would not hold up and the money I had made was from a combination of skill and luck. I'm sure luck is always there to some extent but it can not play a major role in my trading. I must learn the correct way.
I am currently trying to save up enough capital to begin day trading and may be ready by the first of 2014. I am a blue collar worker and money does not grow on trees for me. Until then I am trying to learn as much as I can about day trading stocks. I know there is no holy grail but I can certainly learn as much as possible. Once I start I plan to ease into trading with simple goals. For instance my first goal is to be able to clear 50 dollars a day, then 100 and so on. That is the way I have always accomplished goals is by baby steps. I also have when trying to accomplish goals always asked people who are truly experts at what they do. So far most of what I have read in books and found on internet is BS or regurgetation of the same old info and people just wanting to make a quick buck. I am very impressed with this site and hope to gain some knowledge from people who are actually walking the walk instead of people who just talk a good game but can't really trade worth a flip. I'm not much at posting but rather listening and learning although I know Mike encourages participation. Thanks to everyone in advance for putting the valuable information out there on this forum so guys like me can learn.
