Greetings traders, "educators" et al,
I've been in the shadows of Big Mike's, for a while now. I think it's time for me to surface and chime in with the trading community.
I've been "cutting my teeth" on the markets for about 3 years now, and I've gone full circle with educators, indicators, and everything in between. I've given this endeavor as much attention, effort and money as I did getting my college degree, and I mean that literally. Much pain... Much much pain.
I think I'm beginning to see the fruits of my labor as my equity curve is beginning to go from (it was down for quite a while) flat to slightly upwards. I attribute this not to any one particular system per say, but staying focused on ONE THING. Leaving my workspaces alone and just trading the same instrument day after day after day. I've tried to put time on my side. Time = experience in this game. I was guilty of chasing the next shiny thing. Who hasn't?
I've had the "luxury" of going around the block a few times with a few trading rooms/gurus and mentorships-but in the end I found myself always gravitating back to one particular methodology. In part because it has the most common elements of everything I was exposed to from other methods. So, once I stripped away all the fluff and focused, it seemed things actually got easier. Fewer trades, better trades. I'm definitely on the right track and I'm far more confident.
For those of you that have read Market Wizards, recall it was cited that it's not the method that will give you success, it's the mastery of the method that's important.
So that's all, just chiming in.
