Welcome, Guest!

This forum was established to help traders (especially futures traders) by openly sharing indicators, strategies, methods, trading journals and discussing the psychology of trading.

We are fundamentally different than most other trading forums:
  • We work extremely hard to keep things positive on our forums.
  • We do not tolerate rude behavior, trolling, or vendor advertising in posts.
  • We firmly believe in openness and encourage sharing. The holy grail is within you, it is not something tangible you can download.
  • We expect our members to participate and become a part of the community. Help yourself by helping others.

You'll need to register in order to view the content of the threads and start contributing to our community. It's free and simple, and we will never resell your private information.

Hello Traders,

Just joined (formerly BMT). I've been trading for a couple years, but mostly on the simulator. I use Tradestation. I've traded Forex, GC, DX, TY, and ES, but focusing more on ES, TY, GC and DX recently. Lately, I've been using less indicators and focusing more on price action. I have 5min, 15, 1 hr and daily charts setup for each symbol that I trade. Having the 15 min charts has helped quite a bit since you have fewer candles to look at and I think the larger time frame candles are a little more reliable.

I'm enclosing a 5 minute chart of my ES trades from 4/20. Let me know what you think. The entry was based on price action only. I'm not using any indicators to tell me when to get in or out of the trade. I have a lot of charts that are much worse than this one. This happens to be one of my better days. This trade was on the simulator.

Happy trading!
