My first post….
I have been an amateur active "investor" since I was in college. I have studied business and finance and read most of the Warren Buffet, Value (fundamental) books that have been written in the last 20 years. Unfortunately, I also listened to the advise… “You can’t time the market”, “Even the brilliant Money Managers can’t beat the Market”.. So Buy and Hold index funds….blah blah blah…..
After sitting on my hands during two giant bear markets (dot com burst to 2008 real estate bust) and watching my portfolio bit the dust, I am done with that advice and want to learn to trade my way to more profitable returns.
We all knew we were in a bear market in 2000 and 2008, so why did we “hang tight and ride it out” when you could have turned sold short all the way down? You folks already know all of this, but I just realized it and now I am really excited about active trading.
My current status:
• Trading for about 6 months
• Studying like crazy to learn more technical investment concepts
• Running NinjaTrader and programming my own system
• Using 3rd Party Signals for trading until my systems are ready
• Leveraging my understanding of fundamental investing to provide higher probability for my technical trades
• Reading Charts for hours each day
• Using non-discretionary signals to enter and exit my trades
• Actively trading 5-15 positions at a time
I am an engineer with 20 years of experience in software which I hope will help me to be successful developing and implementing successful trading systems.
In short, I am really excited about trading and have tons of questions for you guys and gals!

was playing with shares and then fx up until november when i went live with real money and so far have protected my a/c but not grown it. just move daway from a spread betting platform to solas pro in ireland for DMA, AND VERY TIGHT SPREADS.they trade a lot on euro stoxx and i am trying to find a metatrader4 demo a/c for unlimited time to see the euro stoxx charts.can anyone help me find such an a/c please?
have really only traded currencies and most of the time eur$. want to do this for a living and have joined an trading for income programme but i dont want to pay for ninja charts and live feed just yet.if i could get eurostoxx charts on meta4 that would do me.
Hey it's my first post, got tired of looking at the banner that I've been a member 83 day's. I've been trading forex for about 2 yrs and it wasn't till I started using Ninja that I stumbled upon this community and Big Mike. Awesome job guy's and awesome group of talented people. Hats off.

Can't really remember how I found this site but I am sure it had something to do with indicator this-or-that and Google. I have been very impressed with the threads I have gone through and this looks like a very active forum with great contributions. Most other forums I have looked at had new posts maybe once a week and those were rairly useful - not the case here. Hats off to Mike for putting together a great collaborative site!! I look forward to continuing my education here and offering contributions myself.
Also a Beginner here. I am sorry that my English is not very good... Found the site a few days back. Great expectations so far. I hope I can give back as much as I expect to learn...
