Based in London, England and a former member of another forum that shall remain nameless. This place looks and feels a lot more positive. Swing Trade Forex and Day Trade NQ and YM using Fibs and Harmonic Patterns. Going to start moving in to swing trading commodities.

Spreadbet Forex and use Mirus for my NQ and YM trading.

I'm always floating about on skype so if you fancy a chat feel free to hit me up !!

Hello,

I am Neil and I am a third year student in college in the US. I am a beginner at trading and I am excited to join this forum. I want to learn as much as I can before I can become a successful trader.

There was an episode where George turned his life around by doing the exact opposite of everything instinct and reason told him he should do. Based on my initial success (lack of) with simulated futures trading, if I start doing the opposite of my trading to date I will become be a trading god. But since that would be too easy I hope to learn some real trading skills from this community.

With all the 'educational services' out there for $199/month it is nice to find a forum of traders who are willing to share their ideas with novice traders like myself.

Thank you for your time and contributions.

Todd

Mike, as you said, I hadn't find yet a place that I could feel like home!

I started trading (If I can say I'm a trader, maybe I'm a investor) in august 2008. Nice time to begin learning!
I don't have to much time to trade yet, I work as a teacher at Petrobras University (Brazil). I have read lots o books, attended lots of courses, but hadn't found my trading method yet, so I have to be honest, I decide to become an Elite member because of the webinar of this week!

My first goal is to learn the best I can to teach my children and give them a wealthy future, so they could become whatever they want to become!

The biggest problem is that most of the forums I found was made by people that are looking for someone to tell how to find the saint graal.

I'm not a very good poster, but I would like to find people to discuss concepts, theories, experiences.

Maybe this is the time and place.

regards
Eduardo

Hello Fellow Traders,

I have been trading for several years, mainly options. Decided to give futures a try. (It is not much fun to sit around at watch theta and volatility all day!) Finally found a broker that has minimal slippage (on the NQ emini, anyway). Traded with several platforms, many strategies to try and find the "holy grail," well, as most of us know, there is not one. However, I switched over to Ninja a few months ago, kept my old broker that does not support Ninja.

I honestly want to thank everyone in this room for their postings. Not only is there a lot of useful info, but also makes you learn the platform. I wish I had the skills to give something back. Hopefully, one day, and soon. Some of the indicators, comments, and studying have truly made me a better trader and opened my eyes to the large and small picture of trading.

Sincerely, Thank you ALL!

Scott

Hi everyone,

My name's Robert. I'm a complete newbie. I work as a full-time professional in another field, so engaging in active, manual day-trading isn't an option (and probably wouldn't be my cup of tea anyway).

Until now, I've just done buy-and-hold trading with mutual funds, and I've developed a decent nest egg. I'm hoping to find or develop some automated strategy that would generate a better return on investment, and which could just run in the background during the day. However, I'm very aware of my limitations and my current lack of knowledge, and I have no desire to be one of the 90% who loses their shirts -- I'll be sticking to research, backtesting and paper trading for now to learn the ropes.

Last month, I started exploring the concept of automated trading. I'm a C# program as a hobbyist, so NinjaTrader caught my eye. However, I found Big Mike's comparison review between MultiCharts and NinjaTrader, as well as his thread about ditching NinjaTrader. Based on these, I'm coming to the conclusion that NinjaTrader isn't ready for prime time when it comes to a fully-automated trading platform, and that MultiCharts would be the better option. I also really liked the friendly and professional tone of this forum.

I'm sure that I'll have many questions as I dive into this. I look forward to working with everyone!

Hi Everyone, glad I found this site. I haven't blown up my account yet and hope that never happens.

I trade primarily stocks and use the ThinkOrSwim platform. Looking forward to sharing more with everyone.

Liz

Hello guys and gals,

Big Mike's is an interesting site so far.

I'm trying to find my way to consistent profits for the last few years. Lost some, and made some. Seems I have many good days, but then a trend day or something else occurs that I didn't prepare for, and I get wacked a bit. Fortunately much of this is when Sim trading. Read a ton books, lots of psychology too. I conclude that I let my emotions get me into trouble at times. So working on sticking to my trade plan, which is going against human emotions of course! HaHaha...

Good luck to everyone and have a profitable year.

DC
