your story is most probably not very unique. most traders lost money and I bet a lot more than you. Best advice I have for you is keep them as small as possible while trying to become profitable
From Canada, formerly the corporate world and have been trading stocks (swing trading) for several years. Have just recently started day trading in the last few months and it seems that many day traders eventually find themselves interested in futures for numerous reasons - I have now come to this point .
I'm looking forward to learning here on futures.io - even some really basic stuff (like the best futures brokerage in Canada, who supports NinjaTrader, is that the best platform etc).
Thanks to Big Mike for created this forum for us to share and learn from each other. I have traded Future mainly in ES, NQ and CL for some time. My entry and exit are based on price and volume of the market. So far the result are not consistent. I am still looking ways to improve.
I wanted to say hello and introduce myself. My name is Silver and I have been interested in trading and investment since I was a teenager. I have some trading experience, but at the moment I am trading SIM, since the last time I was trading live (CFDs) I ended up loosing about 10-11% of my capital and I decided to put live trading on hold for while to try SIM trading. I found out about futures.io in Youtube and I really liked the material there. So I decided to join the forum two weeks ago and this is my first post. I am looking forward to educate myself and find other traders to talk to. I hope that my post will turn out ok, since I have no experience with forums before.
Welcome to futures.io. You will find a lot of useful information from fellow traders, educators and trading companies who want to add value to your trading. Naturally there is a lot to learn but you need to go at your own pace to solidify the information. Thank you! I agree with you. With my experience I have come to conclusion that simplicity is the key. I found out that overcomplicating does not yield any real added value. The trick is getting rid of things that are mostly useless and the other trick is to find out what these parts actually are.
