Hi,
I'm new to the forums (been here briefly in the past), but now looking to learn some automated trading strategies using NinjaTrader. I have a few ideas, just not a lot of coding skills yet!
cheers,
Catherine

Hello, Totally new to futures. I joined a few months ago but haven't posted anything yet. I wrapped up a work contact and now I am free to trade (learn to trade) futures full-time for the next five months.
I have experience trading US equities but scanning hundreds of charts daily is not fun. My plan is to focus solely on the NQ at first.
Thanks Big Mike
Joe

Hi All,

My name is Steve and I have been a MKT maker most of my adult life. I currently trade for myself and work as a financial advisor. I am a Chartered Market Technician so if I can help anyone with tech analysis let me know. I am always happy to help. I look forward to learning from the members here and will be happy to help anyone who needs it.

All the best,

Hi there,

I started trading as a profession 2 years ago. Right now I am in a prop shop. I usually ignore charts and the traditional technical analysis. 80% of my trades are pure price ladder setups, 10% fundamental/news trading, 10% stop runs at major level. I try not to stay in the market for too long. My average time less than 2-5 minutes. Mainly trading the bund and ZN.

First of all I would like to ask for pardon specially to BigMike, for my very bloody late reply.
I have been busy with my day office works. I am an I.T and Designer by profession but study and graduated as Psychology which is totally far a hundred miles away from my current works. Well partly I am naturally artist as a Designer and Music Oriented person which I was able to play piano at the age of 7 then by10 already playing piano in a congregation and ministry and not limited with the (boring) note reading, but play all out from my heart and soul like as my fingers hoping and jumping and walking and running to all the keys of the piano. Anyway getting out of context, where was I, mmm still here in the forum, so lets go back. And also as a an IT which is also my passion and as a Designer as my current work also. From Linuxes to OSX (Unix) and the never ending laging and hanging and stuck-up MS Windows. But I am still loving it, no choice since MT4 will only installed natively on MS Windows environment. Well actually using virtual system or emulators such as WINE and Crossover fix the problem if you have only Linux or OSX desktop and laptop. So lets go back again, getting far again. Now with my field of studies, yep and yep its related to trading, out of my busyness, I still manage to trade, and boy, really loving it. To tell you all frankly here, every time I look at the Charts, it always tickled me, it always makes my hand itchy and wanting to draw and draw those line and and lines and lines to look for those S and R. Every time I look at the chart, and I see candles, lines and oscillators it made my day different. Out of those blue, out of my works and experiences, out of a literally having decent monthly and yearly income from my office work and so, though this trading that I am doing, though its sometimes profited me negative out of 5 trading days, it doesnt matter, it doesnt really matter because everytime I loss everytime I burn my account out from hard earn daily office works, it pushes me more and more and I believe this is because this the wanting, the needing to learn the thrill, the excitements the heart pumping and mind blowing and analytical logical processes of my mind, that kept me on this business. Actually its not just a business but a personal passion, and a love of doings, I make it as an Art and Design. Here will practise my creativity and technicalities and my love for observation as a Psychologist. Every candles are alive, every candles represent hundreds or thousand or millions of human behaviour and person that makes up one tick and tick of the candle until it finally form to any shape that we have hundred of names from doji to hammer to shooting star and so on, to pattern of combinations. To all people reading this messages that may seem bubbling and nonsense messages, just want to encourage you by passing the way I view this field, and thrill and excitement even if its burn or makes you wanting to punch a hole on you screen, tell you this, it is a very very challenging field. This is the way i view it, and loving and it is still my highest profession dream to be a good profitable trader. I will never be forever Graphic Designer, nor Programmer nor I.T., But though I will be old someday (i am 35yrsold now), becoming and being a Trader (fx/stocks etc..) deals no age, and the more you become old with it the more you will have the control over it. For me it is like an Art, and I consider it as an Art and Music, I will be always a musician and artist, and so as a TRADER.....
