Greetings all! Finally getting around to making my first post after lurking for a month and absorbing everything in sight. I'm a complete noob, no trading experience whatsoever.
I stumbled across this forum, and after a few weeks of nosing around it was clear that this place is a good one to be; I feel a great sense of community and camaraderie here even though I'm just now starting to take part. I'm looking forward to continuing along this path.
My original post turned out to be a doozy, quite long and wordy, so I decided to start a journal with that instead. I've read that successful trading can rely as much on introspection as anything else. Thanks @Big Mike for providing a venue for me (and all of us) to log that journey.

Been trying to trade forex for about 2 years now. Currently trading Al Brook's price action. I prefer PA over using indicators because I've always found myself doubting indicators and not letting whatever edge they had play out.
Hopefully, I can slowly but surely get profitable.

I'm a beginner at Futures; however, I've been teaching myself how to trade options since 2006 and have traded. I work full time and I'm a single mother, so needless to say it will be a slow go. Paper trading will be the name of the game for me during this learning curve/process. I'm trying to learn what makes the markets/futures move and then come up with some type of trading plan that includes price action and possibly volume and market profiling. I've been trading options on optionsXpress' platform; I can access and enter real time virtual trades there. Once I develop a plausible trading plan, I will change platforms. I need help with everything and would welcome any advice or suggestions with an open mind, ready to absorb all that I can.

Been trading for a while.. its always 3 steps fwd then 2 jumps back. learning to control emotions and stick to the rules and not let greed take control is key...

Happy to have come across this site. I decided to give up spot forex after my broker was banned from operating in the US. Decided to move to futures and learn to take advantage of the analytical tools and transparency volume and OFA can add to the equation. Approximately 2.5 years of experience trading (spot FX) and 2.5 months with futures. Plan to purchase the elite membership here very soon and look forward to learning and participating
