hi everyone,
i'm new here and have been trading stocks for a few years. i always hear successful traders say it's all in your own head to be successful and just wanted others opinions. i feel i have strict discipline and follow my rules all the time, but don't have consistent setups. so if i just keep getting stopped out of bad setups, i'm left with losing trades. just wanted others opinions on how they became successful. i trend trade and try to trade pullbacks and breakouts with momentum. i used many different indicators and none seem to be consistent. thanks

Hello Fellow Traders,

I am a former market maker in US Treasuries at a number of large Banks/IB's none of which currently exist in their old names. Started trading Treasuries during the Volker era. Left the Street 10 years ago, started and sold a business and just started trading US Treasury Futures. I believe that there is and will continue to be good opportunities. My approach is to trade with momentum, mostly day-trading, if overnight I trade small. ZN, ZB, UB - mostly the last 2.

Good luck to all,
Whome

I'm Steve and I've been working diligently trying to build my own strategies before actually trading. I've had some success at writing the code and working through the challenges but I think I need help from those who are already doing it so, thank you for having me and I hope to learn as much as I can.

I entered the trading realm in 1990 as a hedger in the energy sector and from that start I became a broker for 10 years and a beginning speculator. I sold my business in 2004 and in 2009 moved to Colorado. I still day trade CL and YM. I was looking for an indicator when I discovered this site. That has been a while back and now I am stopping by more frequently.

Greetings traders. I'm glad I discovered futures.io. From what I've seen so far, I think futures.io will be a big part of my trading life. I've traded stocks and options non-professionally for over 15 years, and recently I've decided to make it a full time career/business to the shock and horror of friends and family. I quickly discovered that the transition requires a dramatic change in mindset and exponentially more discipline. I'm looking forward to utilizing the resources here at futures.io to help me stay focused and be disciplined. Cheers!

Greetings all: Don't hold the attorney part against me! I now do mostly estate planning out of my home office in Fairview, TX. I have dealt with Multiple Myeloma cancer since 2010. Currently in remission and just dealing with side effects that keep me from working full time.

I am in my 50's with two daughters, one a senior in college the other a senior in high school.
A neighbor introduced me to active trading. Over the last 15 years I have traded some stocks mostly related to previous stock grants, etc. I started trading credit spreads in options in early August 2016. It is a little boring though I have had good results, so I looked into more active trading in futures and started trading CL and sometimes S&P Mini. I use Infinity Futures as I like their trading platform with one touch profit target/stop loss etc.

I have lost more money than I have made mostly due to not following some rules I set out for myself. Not sure if I should mention here, but I got started after going through videos from Rockwell Trading and try to use their indicators. I have finally realized that there is no magic system and most of the success comes from yourself. I hope to educate myself by joining this forum,
Thanks Ron

I have been trading ES for a while. My equity curve has been stabilized for the past 3 years. Trading is a lonely business. I would like to hang out with like minded people and keep honing my skills.
