I traded commodity futures almost 2 decades ago, blew my small account on a careless order, and I always said I will be back! Since the 2008 downturn though I have been a player in the stock market, and a little bit in ES.
I found this forum while trying to familiarize with NinjaTrader programming, and I hope I will be able to find helpful resources here.
I have been subscribed for a while but i just started posting now.
I trade whatever moves on IB, unfortunately seems like most of the people here just focuses (and i get why) on ninja trader. So maybe one day i will join the party, seeing how flexible the platform is in term of coding possibilities.
I want to say hello to everyone, I want to present myself:
I've been interested in the Markets since 2000, I've been learning about charts, indicators, technical analysis, stocks fundamentals, etc, etc It was a very exciting times when discovering new things every day but at the end markets didn't like this as much as I did... I got to be profitable many times but many other loosing as well... so you can call it my BREAKEVEN period
In 2015 I realized basic charts, indicators, price action are (in my opinion) less than 50% of trading success so I wander how professionals make a living on trading... and I found answers: Market Profile, Real Volume, OrderFlow and Depth of Market... Since then I am learning this new "methodologies". It took me some time to try to learn but I am sure now I am more close to achieve real trading success.
I started using Banks Brokers for stocks, then MT4 (stocks, forex and indexes mainly) and finally I move to NinjaTrader, I am focused on intraday with ES and 6E.
I have more computer programing skills than time to discretionally trade so my goal is to develop half-automatic systems on NinjaTrader and try to trade at east once a day.
I'm sure I will find here people to share trading ideas and trading mistakes of course
Hello everyone. I have been a long time lurker and figured it was finally time to fully join in on this community.
I have been trading FOREX for about 5 long and expensive years. Gone through all of the typical learning phases of emotional stress, blowing up accounts, bouncing from system to system, indicators, blaming brokers and trying all of the different platforms. I am still have some fine tuning, but I do know that I am almost where I want to be with my trading. Although I primarily trade FOREX, I do plan on making the switch over to Futures here very soon. FOREX has been more so my vehicle for learning, since it can be a lot cheaper. I use NinjaTrader and my trading platform, no indicators and use order flow and fibs. I have found through trial and error, less is best for my trading style.

I've been a passive visitor of this site from time to time. Usually I would come here as a result of a Google search. That in itself says much about the content available from the members here. I've finally decided to register and hopefully participate more in the near future.
I've recently signed up with the TopStep Trader combine and that's mainly the reason I signed up here so I can participate in that particular thread. Anyways, as far as futures trading goes, I'm a newbie trader. In fact, today was my first trading day of my first combine with TST. I also hope that will be my only combine.
Anyways, I hope to gain some insights from members here and mature to where I can be of help to others.
I found this site because I was looking for help in Futures trading. I've had some brief experience but I fear it is not credible. So I look forward to the community support and getting into the content provided on this site.
Also, If you're an experienced trader and have some time, I always appreciate have a mentor (if you can stand all the questions!!!)
Hi everyone, Im new at trading and was looking for a community like this for advice . So far from what ive read it seems like im in the right place. Ive only been trading with papermoney , but i think im going to open a real account over the upcoming weekend. If anyone can recommend a low commission broker and a good platform for a mac ,im all ears. So far ive tried a couple , but i feel like my style of trading will cost me so much in comissions. Well thanks for any input.
