Hi Big Mike and all,

I've been trading (Options) since 2015. My trading was up and down, going nowhere. I know I need to study a lot more in order to archive a better trading skill. I'm so excited to join Futures family. Hope that I will be able to acquire more experiences from the family and will contribute mine to the forum.

Thank you.

My name is Jim and I too blew up my account trading the Emin Contracts. I had a system but once I was out of it, I would trade what I thought I saw. Guess what.......it didn't work. I have been trading options for several years and I have been having a lot of success with selling credit spreads.

I use the TOS platform and I am a decent ThinkSrcipt programmer. I have coded in C# and Visual Basic in my past IT career. I would be happy to pass on any knowledge that I have. I look forward to learning great things!!!

Hi Mike, thanks for setting this up. Looks like you guys have had some fun. I have done a little trading over the years, mainly busy running my own businesses. I am a serial entreprenuer and I work with others and help them through information and digital marketing.

I have had staff, offices, marketing costs and sales conversions - I am an expert at those and the main advantage of trading as I see it - is to have none of those - that and my family - is the big why.

I have made the big switch and liquidated my house and my business so everything is liquid. My plan is to become a full time trader and command the compound interest equation.

I have been running paper trades and small cash trades and winning and losing, and losing is one heck of a way to learn - no big deal - I want to lose, I want to feel the pain, I want to find new ways to lose, while not losing the way I was. I know I am talking about losing a lot, I just appreciate this is not going to be an overnight success - and the amount I am losing is inconsequential, we are talking a few hundred over a few months.

I have had some great wins too. I am basically looking at the Ninjatrading platform, although I really like tradestation too. One, other, or both? I am not sure I need to focus too much on the platform, when I really want to spend more time working the charts by actually trading.

I am looking for support from people who know what they are doing and who actually do it themselves, that way I will find my way.

Good to meet ya.

Laters guys.

David

My name is Hamish & I have been trading for around 2 years having gone through the newbie route of attending seminars, opening & blowing accounts & entrusting sign up fees to would be gurus all of which have stepped me forward 2 paces and back 4. I acknowledge that to a large degree, this is my own fault through my own form of discretionary trading & lack of discipline. However,I realise that the transparency behind charts & price action is masked to a degree by such gurus and their guidance is akin to giving a learner driver dark glasses and giving him the keys..Fortunately through my own determination to find real answers,I've arrived here. Now in looking back through various books, courses and advice I've taken on board,i'm binning those dark glasses and look forward to seeing a clearer picture by sharing & learning...Thanks Hamish.

No NZ..However many Scots emigrated to the South Island looking for gold (aren't we all..:~ ) ) so the connection traces all the way back to near Aviemore..I feel right at home when I go up there though.
Right now I'm concentrating on getting to grips with Order Flow...tape reading, cumulative delta, summary & reconstructed tapes, depth & sales. It's a lot to take in but used in the right way,I'm sure it can only help..How about you Trambo ?

Ah ok cool, aviemore is beautiful I know it well. Strange you should ask - I'm also just looking to start implementing order flow, been watching a lot of Jigsaw videos and looking at going down that route, time in front of a screen is an issue for me at the moment so looking to find a good way to build experience shorter term in the times I have available. I've found the Ask me anything thread on Jigsaw very helpful.

Cheers
Trambo
