Hi,

I would like to introduce myself to this forum.

I have about 11 years experience in trading markets. About 7 of that has been professionally in foreign exchange.
Currently, I have begun to trade my own account but have found that following my own rules has been much more difficult than it was when I was a pro

My goal is this: I am a discretionary trader looking to create EasyLanguage code to manage the risk of my positions. I have no experience in coding.

Anyway, I hope I can offer some of knowledge and hope I can figure out coding.

Hi Mike and all members,

I have been on and off futures trading for 10 years. No really blowing up any accounts but mainly a busy work load that takes me away from trading.

I enjoy the mini's. Not so in love with stocks.

I find my biggest enjoyment over the last 6 months is building different custom indicators and such and trading of off these. I have found that take a lot of the emotional roller coaster out of the equation. The biggest thing that this has help to correct is my hair trigger reaction to risk avoidance which has been damaging to my trading.

I am happy to be part of this forum and I hope to attain a lot of new ideas and skills and I hope to contribute equally.

Thanks

I started self educating myself in spot FX trading around May 2012. Three years and countless demo accounts later I am trading live as of July 2015.

I became interested in investing when I started college in 1983, and my first job after college was as a financial planner. We were really sellers of mutual funds and insurance. When the stock market crashed in October of 1987 mutual fund investing went out of vogue, and I lost my job.

For a career I did other things, but my fascination with investing grew, and eventually brought me to the book How to Buy Stocks by Bill O’Neil. What was so attractive about this book was that it covered selecting stocks and then lastly, the timing of the buying of them. It was mostly fundamental analysis, and then the last “M” of his CAN SLIM method, market general direction - technical analysis of the market itself.

From there I started down the difficult road of technical analysis. And that brought me here.

Hi Mike and All,

I am a recent college grad who has been trading for the past few years. I started trading stocks with my buddy and made some quick money but was bored of the "buy and hold" mindset that we had. I bought some courses and started learning about futures and day trading strategies. I made some money trading crude oil and thought it was easy, then quickly lost all the money I made and some.

Very excited about this forum and I hope to be able to contribute as much as I will take away.

Best,
Craig

Thanks Big Mike for starting your website. I'm new to all of this and may be someone can steer me in the right direction about trading Forex or recommend a broker who is willing to help in growing my account.
