I would like to say a hello and a big thanks to everyone on here. I will be coming in and out as time allows me and as a newbie I will be doing a lot reading and studying. If I can add anything useful I will try. Once again a big thanks to all.

Hi there, thanks for the welcome message
I've been demo trading for just under 2 years, the last year with The Day Trading Academy on the E-mini.
My reason for joining this forum? Well, I was looking for some threads on the best platform to choose. I was demo trading with Ninja (awesome platform imo) but now I've reached my 'demo allowance' and their brokers (Dorman, & Phillips) don't want to give me an account - I don't match their financial requirements :-(
I've been consistently profitable over the last 4 months (just under 2 points a day - really good enough for my wants) and I so want to start trading live... but I need a platform that can take DTA's proprietary indicator set - and the only one they recommend is Ninja - bah!
Anyway, thanks for all the great information in this forum; I hope I can be of service to someone as well as acquire some more valuable knowledge.

My hero btw, is the late great Mark Douglas - may he be blessed a thousand-fold wherever he is now :-)

Ali

I'm a day trader that has traded for 9 years in U.S. stocks/ETFs.

I just recently moved over from another platform to Ninjatrader. I am not a programmer, but have self-taught myself easyscript type code, to the point that I can write full blown strategies, exit systems, etc. However, I'm a real novice at Ninjatrader's C# environment. This forum has been a real help in getting started with Ninjascript. My heartfelt thanks to all the contributors and to BigMike.

All the Best,
CurtisC

Hello futures.io. Haven't posted much but have been trading on & off for the last 20+ years. Thankfully I've gotten progressively better at not losing money and, most years, am a profitable account for whichever broker / platform I happen to be on (currently mostly ToS and TradeStation). I'd love to meet fellow trading nerds in / around Austin, please ping me here if you'd be interested in grabbing coffee / drinks sometime.

Hello everyone. I am new to BMT/futures.io. Would like to inquire if anyone can advise on the following.....

How do you get "Average daily volume" column to populate in Market Analyzer. I am looking for a way to monitor current day volume versus an average day. Question further is there an average daily volume at the current time of the day. For example a daily volume at noon doesnt mean much unless we know what the average contracts traded at noon are known. Im just working this out such that I can set indicator sensitivity based on current day volume versus an average day. In other words, if todays volume is slow, i need to increase sensitivity. If todays volume is screaming, I need to decrease my sensitivity in order to filter noise from false signals. Any help appreciated. I am using NT7 with NT continuum as data feed.
