Hi,

I've been trading for a couple years. I think it's invaluable information on many areas of trading.

Hello Mike and everyone in the forum,

My name is Tiana and I have worked in International organisations before deciding it was time to work for my own. That's why I wanted to learn everything possible about trading in order to fulfill my goals.

I have a master diploma in electronic and informatic.
I've already tried to trade few months ago on commodities because that's the only market we can trade in my country.

I just read a lot of ebooks about trading and i wanted to experiment by myself but after all, I decided to join a team that can help me to see and to plan better some successful strategies.

I want to keep it as simple as possible, either i chose to work with harmonic pattern or should I just work with moving averages plus pivot points.

Finally, I'm really glad to join such a community like yours and i can't wait to discuss in the forum!

Best regards

Tiana

I posted earlier today looking for answers to a question. I can't pm because I am new. I get the spam thing and wish not to create problems. I traded full time for 2 years and made a little money. I did not make enough or have money/time to work through the process. So now I am working to fund my trading hoping to turn my trades into algos. Looking for someone to help program. I will use my day job to pay the way. I am trading options and binaries now. Will get back to trading futures when I can get an algo put together.

Hi fellow traders,

I have been active in fx trading for 7-8 years now, and seen the name of this forum come by on a regular basis.
Just recently added futures to my trading instruments and added Sierra Charts. That was the trigger for me to join the forum and share wherever I can.

Thanks for having me.

Cheers, San4x

Hello Mike and everyone,

I just happened on this forum and it seems like a welcoming spot. I'm somewhat of a newcomer, well a returning secondhand comer after getting toasted.

Like many of us I'm sure I managed to blow up a couple of accounts. Back in the earlier days of computer trading and dial up connections I fell for the Hype with a computer program. Lou Mendelshon if memory serves me correctly.
He was a pioneer in Neural Networks and algorithms or so I was lead to believe.

Anyways I was trading currencies and
Treasury bonds . Long story short the program was swing trading and not doing so well. I got caught overnight on couple of Bind trades during the Asian crisis.

I was intrigued enough to start learning about technical analysis and support resistance, bear flags, bull flags etc.
I recently discovered Meta Trader and started a demo account mainly concentrating on Euro/US Dollar.
Anyone familiar with MT4/5 knows they start you off with $100k trading account.

I did manage to turn it into $200 k imaginary profit.

I know, I know before you say anything that's all make believe. But you have to fake it till you make it.

I find even though it's a demo Account I'm very emotionally attached to the trade.

I believe it was Wayne Dyer who had the analogy of swimming but was referring to meditation.
Well the same could be applied to trading. You can read all the books on swimming, learn about buoyancy , learn breathing techniques, have best coaches but you never will experience it until you jump into the pool.

So trading is somewhat similar. That emotional charge you get when a trade is going your way or that punch in gut when it goes agains you. You have to be in the pool.
But in order to float you have to relax, lay back and observe the stillness.

So I'm going to demo trade and see if I can learn the nuances and certain times of day moves happen etc. I'm originally from Ireland but U.S. Is my adopted country for past 34 years.
Hoping to meet some nice people and all egos checked at door.

Chris

Hello all,

I'm happy to join the community you've got here. Been interested in trading for a bit now, and have just started truly looking into it. I work in the IT field by day, and I'm looking for a second income; definitely don't want to see myself working my whole life. I suppose I'm relatively young (24), and make a great salary salary, but am trying to avoid falling into traps of complacency ever again. No college degree as of yet, so I am making futures.io (formerly BMT) my classroom for now. No trading experience whatsoever.

Thanks for welcoming, and profitable trading to everyone.

Se7en

Hello All,
I am learning forex after bad years on and off trading in options and stocks.
I am hoping I can catch the right way, and be discipline with my trading.
I can't post anything yet, as this is my first to write what I think/doing for my trade.

I've been to told to join this forum and learn to write here by my son.
I am now trying to build my own set of rules.
I hope I can made plan and trade that plan, posting here
and got comments to boost up my confidence.
(bingung)
Thank you..
