Hello, my browser tells me I've been a member for 415 days and have yet to make a post. I've been playing around with futures for probably about 5 yrs, I've blown a couple small accounts, can't seem to loose the idea of being a successful trader for a few reasons. I've gone from indicators to price action and everything in between and no doubt my problems thus far has been lack of discipline, psychological issues(probably from lack of confidence from bouncing around too much), and plain old just have some patience with trying what I already know. I think a partner/mentor/someone to bounce ideas off would definitely be helpful. trading has taught me a few things about myself that i would have not wanted to admit before and that is also a reason I am yet to be profitable, I still need to admit and accept my strengths and weaknesses. Good to be here and hope I can be a lot more consistent in the future.

Hello Traders. My name is Dino and I'm back to daytrading after a hiatus and a nasty divorce. I got hurt quite badly in the "V" from the correction down by trading monthly credit spreads. By no wish of my own do I have to now sit and watch the markets day in and day out but it is what it is. I'm currently using three indicators to help me visually see price action with an eye always on the daily pivots for profit targets. I like two indicators in particular from Dan which is a combo of his supertrend and his adxvma with somewhat good results but I'm not as consistent as I'd like to be as I am trying to make a good living doing this. I currently look for around 4 pts. in the NQ per trade. I would like any help that anyone could offer and maybe I can even show another what I am doing and why. A win win situation is always preferred! If anyone can offer advice I would love to hear from you!

Been here for a week or so now and been lurking and doing a lot of reading . Thought its time to say Hi .
Been trading Indices part time mostly , on and off for 15 years now mostly Spread Betting ( i'm in the UK ) and Futures through Interactive for 5 years from 2002 to 2007 .

Made the same mistakes most of us have , No Stops , Holding on for a Bounce when in the RED , Too Large Size , Cutting Winners too early etc etc .
Blew up a 10K account ( spread betting ) through too Large Size bets , 2 BIG losing positions and chasing the Wins to try and 'plug the hole' . At the end of it all over 4 months was left with 350£ from the 10K .

Miraculously ( some might say ) I still came out on Top over the 15 years by a few thousand and it was all mostly fun .
Fast forward 6 months ago after a 4 year break while growing my Retail / Distribution business and 1 month with a Demo account ( Spread Betting ) I brushed up on everything I learnt and started using Hard Stops and Profit Limits .
Been live Trading now for about 4 months and slowly but surely with discipline and a much better grip on the Psychology ( which I believe is the biggest part and hardest part of the 'Game' ) I've grown a 5K account to just over 8K.

The aim is to make a decent weekly Income stream while immersing myself again into this beautiful 'Art' we all ( mostly ) love so much lol
I'm trading FTSE100 , DAX , DOW and S & P with Stakes per point from £5 to 30 ( S & P ) and amounts in between .
Have set a goal of opening a DMA Futures Account as that is where my real passion lies and am currently Trialing CQG , Market Delta and Sierra Charts . All being well £10K will start that venture sometime in the Spring .

So that's about it look forward to being a part of this community while I continue along the Learning Curve , after all we never really Stop learning do we .

Oh before I go wanted to say that I have really immersed myself in all the DOM stuff out there especially Jigsaw Tools and will look to apply it the best I can in my future Futures trading along with Market Delta and Footprint stuff its all like a breath of fresh air to me . All I had years ago was a regular DOM and the minimum of appreciation of Price Action and Order Flow

bye for now

Hello everyone.

I'm new to this, but have always been intrigued with the possibility of trading as an occupation. Either full or part time. Hopefully I'll learn enough here to see if I'm able to do it without breaking the my bank.

Hi All, Joined futures.io (formerly BMT) as an Elite member after lurking for a week or so. No regrets for sure! This resource is a breath of fresh air for a newbie like me. I am new totally new to daytrading and new to trading futures altogether, so learning about instruments, platforms, brokers and data feeds can be quite overwhelming. Leaning towards trading ES E-mini using Ninja Trader. No idea yet on broker and data feed.

I bought Al Brook's training course which has been super helpful. I am following him in the trading room thanks to the elite member promotion for the free month with purchase of the trading course. I am beginning to see the price action set-ups. I have a ways to go as I am only halfway through the course. Then I have some serious sim trading to do before I can develop a methodology and a plan.

Thank you Mike for taking the time to create and maintain this website. It has been huge for me so far.

trading experience:
1 year forex( so much lose at this time).
1 year futures( ES, YM, TF) - last my success was on january 2015 - double my account but then lost all because of increase amount of trading contracts( my mistake).

My method: 1. my psychology 2. indicators( mostly volume stuff, no oversold/overbought indicators).

you think those are bad?

I can say that oversold/overbought indicators on futures markets doesn't work for me.

Yeah I guess you're right... the RSI hasn't been helping me too much on intraday trading in the /NQ, I may have to use something else there lol I use primarily unirenko and vwap : )
