Hi Everyone,

My name is Alex. I'm an active futures trader. Before futures I used to trade forex, however I found that the E-Mini S&P500 more appealing and profitable for me when it comes to trading intraday. I joined the forum to because one should never stop learning and sharing.

Regards

I bought my first stock over 50 years ago, but only have become a serious trader when I began nearing retirement a few years ago. I've explored a variety of trading strategies, but now that I actually am retired I'm shifting more towards income investing.

I currently live in San Francisco but am moving to sunnier Palm Springs.

Hi everyone,

Me... I'm a wife and daughter of a 3rd grader. I've been interested in day trading for about 5 years and just pulled the trigger. (New Years Rez). I Opened up an account w Ninjatrader brokerage. I am interested in the emini markets, and I sim-traded for a couple weeks and did really well. I started live trading last monday and was up and down a couple hundred bucks and finished down $212 yesterday. I am not looking to get rich, I would just like to make some additional household income. I'm reading a ton of material and watching youtube vids. I am a sponge for info right now. As a beginning trader I'm aware that I am vulnerable to lots of stuff and I am just trying to avoid as many mistakes as possible. I want to weed out as many bad decisions as I can. LOL! Here is what I've been looking into.

1. What are the best book/books/videos/articles to understanding Charts? (support, resistance, best indicators)?
2. I would like to sit in on a great live trade room. Which ones are legit and best? (currently doing a couple free trials w Rios tradelab and viewmytrades.com)

I appreciate any help I can get from you guys that have been doing this for a while. What advice would you give to yourself if you could go back? haha.

Thanks and God Bless,
Laura

Hi Laura,

I would suggest watching the webinars on this site, with (IMO) particular attention to Al Brooks, FT 71, Linda Bradford Raschke, and of course, Big Mike.

Regarding psychology: Dr.Brett Steenbarger & Denise Shull.

Best of luck to you.

Hello all. I am brand new to this. I just started buying dividend stocks for long term investment last November and wanted to learn how to start making money now in the market. Not just building a long term portfolio. I asked for more information from a commercial on CNBC and was introduced to the emini and buying and selling futures contracts. The education offered was around $1,000/mo or $5,000 for a year. That seemed very expensive and a big amount to overcome every month. I have been watching you tube videos for the past 3 days and trying to learn as much as I can about indicators and even the basics. I haven't signed up as an Elite member yet, but I am considering it. Still trying to consider if this is something that I have time to devote learning enough to do it. I am a Realtor that does ok but interested in a way to make additional income.
Thank you for having a place to ask questions. It seems that all of the youtube videos are trying to sell a system of charts and indicators.
Thank you,
cumberlandtrader

Hi Everyone,

I was trying to approach markets for about 10 years now, started with forex part time then moved to futures, anyway was not serious about it until now. Hope to become a part of traders community, learn to trade and make it my career.

Best of luck to all.

Hi, I've been trading on and off since 10 years - mostly losing because of unidirectional thinking. This site and discussion are amazing and better than reading books. Looking forward to learn and share. Thank you.

Regards,
BG

Hi admin man,
I have been trading part time for ten years with little ongoing success. Blown up my account at least 3 times. I know beyond a shred of doubt that I will become a consitently profitable trader and have made huge moves towards this in the last 6 months of near full time trading - now day trading.
