Hi, my name is Mike and have 1 year of trading experience and much more with general investing. I've tried a portfolio of mutual funds at first which did pretty good. Then I began swing trading and day trading stocks. I've mostly did well managing my trades except for one penny stock that got away from me. It took several months to regain my losses but eventually got back into the green.

My current trading platform is Thinkorswim which has worked OK for me in the last year. I focused mostly on price action that corresponded to technical analysis and recently discovered the market profile stuff which is very interesting. I would like to master MP and get better at locating the better trade locations in the various futures. I have done quite well paper trading futures but I find it difficult to get good enough trade location to have tighter stops. The larger the stop I use, the easier is seems to be but of course that would mean more risk in my real account.

My name is Mark and I am new to trading. Over the past couple of months of doing research, it has become apparent to me that the ES market is where I'd like to be. I would like to keep my educational efforts as simple and "to the point as possible." Just have to thank Big Mike for developing this site, as it is extremely informative.

I will throw out a request for info, as the overwhelming amount of data, systems, experts, etc. is so confusing, it's hard to know where to start. My preference is to weed-out the nonsense and find a system/program that is rock solid, but easy to grasp. Would appreciate some feedback on the best places to start from scratch. I've been reading, visiting sites, and spending time in some rooms, but much of the language is for seasoned veterans and can be confusing. Any ideas?

Thanks for your help...

I am finally seriously combining my passion for markets and programming. I hope to learn some NinjaTrader bot programming for forex and futures, and pass on what little I already know. See ya around.

Hi Everyone!

My name is Ramunas and I'm started trading US stocks not so long ago. I opened a small account and trading stock basis various candlestick patterns with help of technical indicators. However I still did not find my way or style of system, so came here to discuss my questions with other traders and find the ideas to make a breakthrough.

Good trades to everybody!

Hello guys and girls! Just started learning about trading a week ago and think I will be good at. I would like to start day trading and go from there. Right now I'm virtual trading to learn the ropes. I would like to team up with a couple others so that we can benefit from each others knowledge and experience.

Thank you Mike for offering such great opportunity to join a thriving community of traders of so many different kinds.

I have been trading on and off for about ten years including one year futures full time with mechanical systems (sounds funny as it is fully automated, however there is a lot of work around it as you all know).

Daytrading US markets is not an option for me as an Australian because US markets open when we go to sleep and close when we get up.

I recently traded options on futures (EOD) with some success. However I am currently more focused on my (trader's) psychology after some disastrous failures with "impulsive" trades. Now I chose to lay a solid foundation for a trading business with a step by step approach. This includes a bussiness plan, thourougly backtested day and swing trading systems and particularly sound money management principles.

Hi Everybody, sorry I have taken so long to introduce myself.

I am a novice in terms of trading. Having lost some sums of money with emotional trading and mis-understanding of risks. I have decided to devote my efforts on developing some EA's to perform my trades and hopefully overcome my emotional shortcomings.

I have been into trading for the last six months and exploring the relevant materials to gain knowledge and confidence for the same.

And in the process, I landed here in this forum and hope to get mutually benefited.

Thanks to Mike for starting this forum and to everyone for sharing knowledge!
