Hi all

I've been a member here for a while without posting.

Finally joined the elite membership so I thought I should at least do the intro.

Been on the trading journey since July 2007 - a lot of ups and downs but mostly downs.

Started trading Spot FX. I've tried a gazillion different methods and have finally moved to futures looking at scalping, trading off the DOM similar to Pete - Jigsaw and John Grady at No BS Daytrading.

I've vowed to myself that this is it, trading short term order flow. I either make this work for me or I will finally chuck in the towel.

No more indicators or searching for the elusive holy grail.

Hopefully I will be able to make some worthwhile contributions in the near future.

Cheers

Greg

hi all,

this is my first post although i am a member since a couple of years. i didnt know what really to say about me and my trading so just a short overview:

trading experience since nearly 10 years.

my first years where really successfull

after a couple of years ( and studying more and more ) i know now what faults i made.

i killed the gains of thousands of trades in TWO single trades (loosers average loosers!) and i am still alive.

anyway the path of learning never ends, so here my first post.

i wanna thank to everybody for the effort and help traders are giving traders. imho this is the best forum i ever could join.

all the best to all of you

Hi All,

New to trading. Bought some stock a year and a half ago when I had some extra money lying around and I got hooked with the markets from there. I have since spent my time trying to learn as much as I can (reading, videos, sim accs) and trying to figure out the best way to start. So much info and methods out there I am a little lost. So hoping to find some help in the forums here as I have already learned a lot from just a day reading through posts.

Anyway keep up the good work guys.
Cheers,
CR

Hey guys,

Fairly new trader (less than a year). Began focusing on the ES futures a few months ago and have been following PATS system since. Attempting to learn to become a consistent day trader, or explore and just learn what I can about the different markets, trading styles and so forth. I started a journal to track my progress in the ES, so feel free to check that and criticize me or give me pointers.

I've checked out the forum from time to time as a resource, but only just finally got around to making an account. I've been learning price action, mostly targeted to the ES from PATS but I have also begun learning Al Brooks PA methodology. Excited to learn and hopefully contribute in some way to the community.

Stay hungry and profitable!

Hi All,

I've been a member of the site for quite sometime now w/o put a post, so here goes...

Unlike what I've read in other intros, I have absolutely no experience with any type of day trading, but I'm eager to learn.

First thing's first, however, I have to figure out what it is I'd like to trade then it's "all clear for takeoff". Now I know I'll crash and burn and some point(s) along the way, but with being able to leverage the wealth of knowledge and experiences here, I know I'll have what it takes to straighten up and fly right each time.

I appreciate what you've assembled here, Big Mike...what its become and what it will be!

Happy Trading Everyone!!!

Hello futures.io (formerly BMT) Forum,

My name is Alec and I'm new to day trading. I'm not currently running any trading interfaces and would like to know what you guys think of as a good start? I'm very motivated and willing to put in the time and work. I look forward to meeting most of you and progressing to an advanced day trader!

Alec, contact Optimus Futures and talk to Matt. He founded Optimus and he seems to care about his clients. I use Optimus, and Matt, in the beginning, spent more time warning me about the hazards of trading than trying to sell himself to me. There is a thread here on Big Mike's about Optimus (and Matt). I use MultiCharts with Rithmic data feed. Hard to beat.

I have been trading since 2013, i am just a beginner. Before i have used only MT4 platform to trade and analyse, now I am learning Sierra Charts platform, it really helps to analyse markets though I have not fully understand all the features yet

Hi all,
Michael from Ireland here,
Complete noob where trading is concerned.
I am hoping to meet some other Irish traders and get some actual face to face meetings with them to see how its all done and find relevant usuable trading platforms.
Here in Ireland most platforms are limited in my limited view thats why I need some homegrown advice on which ,where etc.
Bought Silver in March 2008 at the height and watched it fall fall fall and realised I needed an emotional wakeup and proper training, which I am also looking for.
At least I got lucky eventually with the silver but it was a hard lesson.
Great site which I will be perusing.
Hii to all.

Michael

ok maybe not a guru but I know my way around one...

Hi I have been trading forex and options for a while but would like to learn more about weekly option trading. I have had limited success with FX but trading monthly options has been reasonably successful.
Looking forward to learn more..
