GM Traders....I am like most traders in that I blew my first account over the past year and am now accepting my situation and am ready to change. I can't remember how i found Big Mike's, however, I am grateful for finding this diamond in the rough. After reading and digesting some sage advice from experienced traders, started a paper journal regarding my emotional state while trading, i am experiencing many AHHA moments and a glimmer of hope. I am grateful to be here and will contribute to the community as i continue to change my trading ways!!

Hi everyone! My market of choice is the ES. I have been around the block a few times (like so many) but have found my niche using market profile, gomcd and squawk box.

Hello,
I live near the Gold Coast in Australia I have been trading sporatically for three years (only about 3 months in total time).I have blown up two small CFD accounts and to date have made no money trading.
At the beginning of this year I closed my business of 20 years and started full time trading and learning to trade .
A few years ago I found out that I had Aspergers Syndrome which helped in this decision.
My education to date includes a Diploma of share trading course,Options course and a Automated systems course run by Trade Coach (which have recently been added by Ninja to be an education partner) .I'm a member of the Australian Association of Technical Analyists and I like Technical Analysis.
My advantages are that I have a created a window of two years in which I don't have to make an income and can devote all my time to trading and learning.I spend at least 60hrs/week on learning and designing systems.
My Aspergers makes me suited I think to trading with systems because I have a strong interest in computers, systems and mathematics.I have minimal need for human interaction.
My disadvantages are that I have a very small Trading pool and no coding experience.
I do not have a university education .
I am however extremely motivated because if I don't make a success of this I will have very limited career prospects being that I am 50yrs old am not a "People person" and am limited physically by an old injury.
I have had systems in simulation for 6 weeks and systems live for 1 week I intend to start a journal on this forum.
I think this forum is great and I think it will become my spirtual trading home.

Hi Everyone
Thanks to Big Mike I purchased Al Brooks book and struggled through to the end. The first 352 pages are pure Greek to me but the "Best Trades" of Chapter 15 and the "Trading Guidlines" started to make sense. So my account is looking much better and hopefully I can build from here. Thanks again Mike

Hello all begginer traders, advanced traders, experts... any traders,
I am trying to become a good trader from Spain, I started some years ago with an introduction seminar in Spain and afterwards I was learning on my own based on the guidelines I received in that seminar.
Basically, I decided to be focus on some ideas I catched from the book 'Come into my trading room' (by Alexander Elder) about how to trade in Emini SP500 in false breakouts. In May 2009 I started real trading without enough preparation and I was losing and winning losing-wining, at the end of July I recovered what I previously lost but in August I lost again about 30% over my starting capital. I stopped because I was told that August had specific behaviour in August, so I wanted to historic test and paper trading until coming back to real trading.
But in Autumn 2009 I took a master trading course by an other spanish trader showing his system, and from Autumn 2009 I am daily paper trading the system of that spanish trader and latest weeks I have come back to historic test my ideas around the system of false breakouts (Alexander Elder). The spanish trader's system requires much practice and paper trading to learn 'intuition'. On the other hand, I keep on historic testing for my own testing about false breakouts in opening ranges of Emini SP500.
I wish I could help someone one day to trade for a living.

Thank you Big Mike for youe effort with this webpage so good and effective.

Regards,
Ignacio.
