Mike, This looks like an a-Mei-zing forum. Thanks for allowing me access. I have heard a lot about this and now have been directed here again.
Will be spending more time here checking things out. Have been learning to trade for the last 2 years. Using Tradestation and am going over to Ninja with kingsview as my personalized broker.

Ex-Mirus/Zen-Fire customer. Started doing research on replacement(s) & followed the rabbit down the hole & here I am!

Gotta say, great resource centre (I've been reading here on & off for the past fortnight).

Thanks to Big Mike.

Hi, I have been trading for a few years with mixed success. Mostly forex though a little bit of futures with small live accounts or demo accounts trying lots of different trading styles and duration of trades. I have finally concluded that my personality and trade style is happiest with day trading so I have joined up here as it's the best forum I have found.

Hey BM,

My name is Brian. I'm a long-time investor in the stock market and commercial real estate. I'm currently based out of Ithaca, NY (grad school) but am considering a move to Chicago, NYC, or LA.

Looking forward to learning more and meeting new people.

Brian

HI springer, thank you for your post. I can identify to all that you have said. Tried, stock and options US market, but the volume of choice on the US stock market bewilders me. What do I choose to trade or not???? Have looked at forex, but thinking futures may suit my personality better. I don't like to be in longer term trades, but wonder is it possible for an ordinary guy to make it as a trader???

Just came across this forum when googling reviews on Roger Felton and Felton Trading and grateful for what I read. Almost signed up, but having read what I did here, thinking twice and not going to pay heavily for a system that may/may not produce the goods. Roger says I can make $200 per day on a 5K account trading futures. It sounds almost tooooo good to be true, so as the saying goes, if it sounds to good to be true, then it probably is. So registered to this forum and hope I can learn and be a part of the community here.

Thanks Mike and looking forward to being a member here.

Hey guys/gals, Springger from the Caribbean here. First post, in here, but I've lurked around these parts for quite a few months. Once all goes according to plan, hopefully I'll be lurking in the elite section shortly. For now, its lurking, learning and then posting.

Not quite a newbie to trading, I've been down the spot FX road. Like few others, I fell for the "Make Millions of this little known trading secret," that cost quite a bit and coupled with an unscrupulous broker out of the UK, I learned the real value of risk money. After a bit of a break, and some advice from a some one whose only source of income comes from day trading, I started looking at the futures market, as a regulated entity, vs the cutthroat nature of the spot FX markets.

I've been slowly learning the nuances of Market Profile and following up on FT71's style of scalping, following his reviews from right here on BM. From there, once I understand the concepts I'll go through a period of demo, followed by a period of live testing and tweaking. I intend to start a journal so that I'll learn as I go forward, from loosing trades, to break even and finally to profitability. There it is, my plan! Its not much, but then again there is always the edit button.
