I’m Tim.
I’ve been investing for 20+ years. However, most of my trading has been fundamental based investing with options to enhance returns or control risks. For about five years I have been dabbling with using indicators to control risk. The more I research I do the more interested I get in trading systems to augment my entry and exits. I don’t think I am interested in high frequency or intraday trading yet. I know several program languages and have used them to help me build some trading signal back testing systems. All of this has been done in a silo without communication with others. This site looks like a great discovery and I am very excited about joining in on the discussions. I doubt I will have much to contribute right away, but I am hopeful that I will contribute as I apply what I learn. Thanks Mike

Found this site while searching for info re: Mirus/Zen-Fire debacle. Although has been stressful situation, good has come from learning more about FCM's and data providers...and finding futures.io (formerly BMT). Have traded stocks for years then got interested in futures a year or so ago. Worked on strategy/trading plan using SIM for most of that time and only moved to live trading a couple of months ago. Look forward to joining in the conversation and contributing where I can. Thanks to Big Mike and all those on this site...know that I will learn a lot.

I am a new trader, have learned options and am moving into futures. Recently signed up to a great course for futures trading that is the best money I have spent on education, (and I have spent a ton!) I really like this forum, but have been a member for over 200 days without posting myself. Just shy I guess. Any futures traders on here willing to give advice and tips, please PM me! I would so appreciate it! Always learning and growing...that's my motto.

I'm a new trader from Portugal. I've been reading about investing in stocks for many months now, learning strategies, terminology, what's wise or not wise. I'm not interested in trading on margin, or in options at this time, as one might expect. Probably never will.
Already read quite a few older posts on futures.io (formerly BMT), but still much to learn, and that's why I'm here.
A friend of mine told me about Big Mike's Trading Forum to check it out. He has found many helpful information here and since he knows that I'm doing a thread on COT analysis (on a different Forum), he advised me to bring that thread here too.
I will be starting the thread in Traders Hideout > Commodities Futures Trading (since cot data is on futures (and also options) data). Its title will be: COT Report Analysis / Follow the Smart Money
I've been trading over 13 years now and have been successfully using cot analysis for about 7 years now. I see that a lot of Traders haven't even heard about the cot report, so I hope my thread here at Big Mike's will be helpful!
I'm also eager to learn more about cot analysis, to find new approaches, so I will very much appreciate it if those of you, who have been using it will share your views.

A algum tempo ouvi falar que era possível investir e trabalhar no mercado de cambio a partir do Brasil. Esta notícia me chamou atenção mas em virtude da falta de tempo não pude buscar detalhes de como isso seria possível.
Felizmente a aproximadamente quinze dias esta curiosidade tornou-se mais forte que a falta de tempo e passei a pesquisar formas de fazer isso e nesta busca descobri um mundo novo e muito promissor.
Desde então, suspendi a maioria dos compromissos e tenho dedicado mais de dez horas por dia em conhecer o funcionamento e técnicas de negociação para Forex.
Em meio a tudo que há disponível na rede sobre o assunto encontrei este fórum que acredito, será de extrema ajuda pois tem uma proposta nobre compartilhar informações com o intuito de enriquecer o conhecimento.
Por estes motivos gostaria de em breve poder devolver todo o conhecimento adquirido aqui da mesma forma que me será dado. Ajudando a quem precisa da mesma forma que acredito, serei ajudado.

I am Brazilian and I live in Minas Gerais.
Some time I heard it was possible to invest and work in the exchange market from Brazil. This news caught my attention but due to lack of time I could not get details of how this would be possible.
Fortunately approximately fifteen days this curiosity became stronger than the lack of time and started to research ways to do this and this search discovered a new and very promising world.
Since then, I suspended most appointments and have spent more than ten hours per day to meet the operation and techniques for Forex trading.
In the midst of all that is available on the net on the subject I found this forum I believe, will be extremely helpful as it has a noble proposal to share information in order to enhance knowledge.
For these reasons I would soon be able to return all the knowledge gained here will be the same as given me. Helping those who need it the same way I believe, will be helped.
From now on, I wish much success to all members and great deals.
I am new here, literally just made my account and still to get used to the site but hopefully I have posted in the correct forum!
I'm not actually a trader (yet!), I have a job lined up post graduation which I start in a matter on months, but figuired it cant do any harm to sign up now. More over, and the real reason im here; i'm in the process of writing my disseration based on the Game Theory of the Futures Trading Market. I hope that, as you guys have a wealth of experience in all differect sectors and assets, that you could answer some (very basic) questions which i hope will help to make my dissertation stand out above the rest.
I have watched many videos by Donald Vaello and it was actually through him that I reached my Eureka moment on deciding my dissertation subject! (Hoping the man himself reads this as I see he has a look every so often!)
I hope this isn't coming accross as rude, but I promise im not on this to waste anybody's time and figuired theres no harm done in asking the people at the top rather than just presume I wouldn't get a reply and not bother!
I 'm fairly fresh to futures trading. I'm using Ninja and dipping my toe in the live trading pool after about six months of sim trading, mostly on CL, TF, and ES. At present, almost exclusively TF.
