Hi all,

I'm new on the forum even if it take 260 days before I write my first post.

I'm a trader since 5 years ago, I have trade stock, forex and now Future,

Like everybody I blow 2 account...

I got my winning day and my losing day... I know I need to improve my psychology side because I got rest,

I got;

Rules
a Strategy
money management system
I quantify my loss and my winning trade

But I need to improve the way I saw the market, What I mean is to trade the market and not my PNL

My goal is to became a full time trader because a got a full time job but I'm working only on the Week-End

Thanks Mike for all your time you give to the forum

And for the rest

nice to meet you

I'm new to this forum, but not to market. Enjoy reading/study what others do. Have been trading stocks for many Years. Became fulltime trader in 2004 and changed market place from stocks to forex more and more between 2007-2009. Base my trading on fundies and longer tf's, but do scalping and entries in mainly 5 and 15 min. My chart analyses is on price action and fibonacci. Included in my charts are also "korharmonics", OBV(On Balance Volume) and AC. Those tools I'm using more to prevent bad trades then to make trades. Good luck to us all and hope we will see a fruitful market.
PS. I hope to learn some futures and commodities from here since I plan to start trading in those markets as well.

Rgds Bili

Hi everyone,

I am based in Sydney, Australia and I've been investing and trading for over 20 years now. I work as a software developer in the financial services industry - although nothing to do with markets. I studied a Diploma of Financial Markets and am almost finished a law degree. I develop database software using MS-SQL, C#, .NET framework, LINQ and so-on. I have had some fun developing a bot for trading bets on BetFair, mainly because they publish an easy to use (think free) API, but am more interested in developing software to trade financial markets.

I'm reasonably good at understanding fundamentals around companies and so on but have been a lot more successful with long term investing than short term trading. However, I am interested in up-skilling in either day-trading or position trading. Not sure what software to use to get market feeds - currently I am just using the Tradency services with FXCM - but cant see how I can develop my own 'experts' for automated trading.

Cheers,

Craig

Hey everyone, this is the second time I wrote here, since this thread is always the one which cause most attention.

I am Penghua Sun, writing from University of Cologne, Germany. I am doing my first survey of my PhD study, and now I am desperate for getting participants for my survey, which is a study about risk attitude and investment behavior.

I have posted a thread in here ( ), it was very helpful in the first couple of days, but unfortunately the thread went sank after a while. I really appreciate that if you could kindly spend 20 minutes to help me with completing the survey. My dissertation project has been lasting for over 3 months by now, and I am still stuck in the first phase of data collection.

You can find the survey and all the detailed information here:

Survey

The study will be absolutely anonymous, and it is just for the aim of research. After the project is finished, the data will be destroyed for sure.

Thank you very much for your time! Wish you all the best!

To Mike: please do not treat it as a spam. I am giving my last shot here. Thank you so much!

Wanted to say hi. I have a thirst for knowledge much greater than my ability to locate said knowledge! I'm really interested in getting started in this GREAT community.

I found this place by searching "Scam and DTA" which led me to a conversation about a particular "academy" and i found what I had sought to determine, so thank you for dispelling any mental fog concerning that. You all have major credibility in my book. I am your humble servant!

Any fellow Houstonians around here? Would love to chat with you at your local coffee joint and buy you a coffee!

Hi Craig,

You mentioned that you're using the Mirror Trader platform with FXCM but couldn't see how to develop your own automated strategies for it. While Mirror Trader doesn't include an option for you to develop your own strategies, you can write code to run on other platforms FXCM offers. For starters, your Mirror Trader login will also let you access Trading Station which allows you to code strategies in LUA.

Also, I notice your forum profile mentions that you use NinjaTrader. If you'd prefer to code strategies for this platform instead, you might like to know that FXCM has completed a full rollout NinjaTrader. If you set up your FXCM account to use NinjaTrader, you would actually be able to use the same account login to access NinjaTrader, Mirror Trader and Trading Station.

We will even reimburse your license fee for NinjaTrader, if your account has a starting balance of at least $5,000 and you continue to place 500k round turn trades per month. If you already have a single broker NinjaTrader license and simply want to add FXCM, contact us at [email protected] for special instructions.

Hey Everyone,

I've been trading for a little over a year now. I started learning to trade from a course that relied heavily on indicators and have so far been unprofitable. I am now looking into pure price action and reading the order flow, seems to be the right path for me. Anyway just wanted to give a intro.

Cheers

Hello All,

After a few years at the bulge brackets, I've struck out on my own. I'm currently taming MultiCharts.NET, and will be trading primarily US equities. Glad to be here, and I hope that I can give something back as well as continue learning from all of you.
