Good day all,

Happy to be a part of futures.io (formerly BMT). I use NT and focus on ES. Traded manually for 4 years and mechanically for 2. I was profitable on both, but have paused my trading to mainly focus on statistical analysis. My new projects revolve around analyzing data within my databases in order to build models. I analyze the full ES data feed and hope to co-locate in the not-so-distant future. Much work ahead, but I enjoy all of it.

Sean

hello, my name is Adam. I am freshly new to trading and don't know very much if so anything about trading.
I am a full time college student, working a part time job at an Albertsons. Im also a worship leader at a small bilingual christian church. I just turned 21 and I really want to give trading a shot. I just wanted to introduce myself to all of you fellow traders.

I'm excited. As far as actual trading experience I'm a newbe, but I've been exploring trading methodologies for a couple of years. Coming from an engineering/science background am really, really intrigued.

I suspect I feel at some level that just a mastery of one of the methodologies will lead to success. At the same time I Know that's not true. I've read over and over from folks that are successful with what ever approach (market profile, price action, volume/pricie, and the typical indicators) that success, if it ever comes, is something more than just mastery of some method.

I'm intrigued by that mysterious quantity between understanding/mastery of a particular method and consistent profits. Of course without success none of this makes sense, my main motivator is to get a handle on how markets work. How can success/failure span from all sorts of seemingly different approaches. Are these different methodologies actually doing the same thing but are just superficially different.

Is there any consensus on which methods are consistently better? Is there any consensus on methods that are definitely inferior.

Here's how I'm getting started:
1. I'm going to sim with Ninja with a live data feed.
2. After I master the basics of Ninja, I plan(tentavely) on using the indicators from e-mini watch. I'm impressed with what I've seen on that web site
3. I'd like to learn and implement Price Action (Al Brooks) approach along with some price/volume approaches.

Any comments/suggestions would be appreciated - really!

Big Mike's will probably be my main source of reference for a while. Really happy I found it.

Regards
Randy

Hi Big Mike, and all the participants of the forum! In trade, I'm a newbie, started in Forex, went to trade currency futures. Achievements I have not yet, but there is a desire to learn how to trade on the exchange. I would be happy to cooperate with the forum participants.
** I'm sorry, do not know much English and the letter from Russian translated by GOOGLE. Good luck to everyone!

Hi All....I am an old semi-retired cash grain trader. I mostly position trade currency futures ....profitably....and day trading CL............ break even to unprofitably. Fortunately I'm still well ahead over the past many years trading my own account. I trade price action only although fundamentals do seem do give me a bias no matter how hard I try to ignore them. I have been reading some excellent postings and have watched some excellent seminar videos.
