Hello All,

I've been lurking around here for quite some time. My previous background has been military. I started paper trading back in December 2012. In the last year I’ve been able to sift through all the garbage out there on the web, sad stories, tried 10 different strategies, and even sought the holy grail of trading. I’ve been bouncing back and forth from paper trading to live trading. Currently I’m trading live. I haven’t had to pay any major tuition yet other than my education which hasn’t really cost me that much. I’m involved in a mentoring group. I am a disciplined day trader focused on scalping and pattern recognition (the more times I say it, it becomes true). I typically trade all tick/time frames, but mostly the shorter ones. I use Ninja Trader 7 as my platform. The services I use are Kinetick(Data), IB (broker), and Trade the News Futures and Forex squawk(News). My primary trading vehicles are the NQ and ES. I'm looking forward to chatting with some of you.

Have a great day!

Hello all,
Thanks for this forum. I am picking up some useful info here. I have been sim trading TF for about 1 1/2 months now and sometimes feel like I'm going backwards. I am just beginning to get a feel for price movement. I am having trouble settling on a methodology for set ups. Hopefully it will come to me soon.

Hi Everyone,

I am Mac ... I had no proper game plan - no money management or risk mangement!. Well after blowing up my account twice now have stepped out of the ring and unlearned whatever I think should have worked.
I am still quite excited about the transition and hope to benefit from this forum and its vast base of knowledgable and scuccessful traders and their experiences.

Regards
Mac

Know when to fold , to quit is a key part of being a winner. Its like poker, you have to cut the losing hands and stay with the winner.

My name Jaroslav

New to multicharts and not a programmer so finding it hard.

I have a trading methodology I am trying on the DAX in the evening as I am in Melbourne Australia 4pm to midnight is a good trading time for me as I work during the day. However doing it manually on a 1 hour or 15 min chart, I get distracted and miss a trade. So I am hoping that automated trading with maybe alarms so I can still watch it will help.

Do you find enough range to make a profit after cost in these markets? how many times a day do you trade. ?
