Hi all and a big thanks for Mike having created the forum and you all for keeping it alive and vibrant!
I started to look into FX trading a few months ago, At first I was faced with what I guess are the usual problems:
How to create a strategy in Metatrader4, how to test them etc etc. I even gave up all my spare time for a couple of weeks just to build my first tick-by-tick strategy with four entry qualifiers and a couple of exit qualifiers..in Excel! When done I learned that it was practically useless due to its lack in flexibility. About the same time, I came across NinjaTrader which I find a terrific platform.
Now, I am facing a few problems in order to take the final steps towards testing and putting something live and trading. There is a lot to learn and I will bombard the rest of the forum with questions.
If I can share what I have learned during the journey I would be happy to.

I dont trade live yet, will start in few weeks. But I have some experiances with burning account... Maybe I can help with some of your questions. I trade only FDAX index. Divergence on RSI. and only morning sesion 9-12. The way I am testing is like this. Using Ninja trader 7, I move the 5 min chart to any date, on other screen I have 60 min chart, where I am choosing trend. Then I am simply moving chart by each candle, till a signal comes up. If all criteria are met I put enter price, time, SL, and other datas to an excel sheet. Then I am moving chart more till it reaches either SL, or PT or other exit set by strategy. Any major ideas, changes I test like this on 100-200 days, then I paper trade the same idea for at least one month. I hope this will help you a litlle.
I looked through the newcomer section and did not find an answer and the search box also did not it. How do I jump to a certain page number in a certain thread?
