Hello everyone,

I look forward to learning from all of you guys/gals about how to stay afloat in this business. I started out trading forex, and have switched to trading options. Had some successes and failures, but I've tried to learn a valuable lesson with each failure... So in a way, I haven't lost anything!

Glad to be here!

My name is Bekim I am a Italian restaurant owner, I have been trading stock and options for the last 4 to 5 years. Ive done some stupid things like buying Nflx at 60 and watching it go to 300 and then back down to 60.
I have recently started trading futures, I paper traded since Sept and now Im on my second week of live trading. So far things are going well.

Hi Mike and Hello Everybody!

My name is Eugene and i am kinda new to the world of futures trading! Previously i had some experience in a physical commodities trading company and met some people who where pretty successful in trading futures in Europe. Although i always understood the mechanics of the futures market i never had the chance to try it. However, this year i was completing my Master in Finance and was offered a free training course form a prop shop located in UK and this is how i got introduced to this business. We were using CQG and charts from ProRealTime. I became extremely interested in trading CL because i knew how the physical market works and form my previous job i still had access to major Trading Journals with lots of very important info.

Now, i am planning to open an account with (not sure if we can speak abt that on forum) and plan to start working on evenings. I would be extremely interested in talking to somebody about how to organize your workplace and other details which are hidden for beginners.

Cheers! Mike Thanks a lot for building up this forum!

Hi,

I am 59 years old, have a full time job as a researcher and student teacher. My interest to trading is mostly due to two reasons: first, I want to maintain my, starting to decline, abilities to learn new concepts and activities, and, second, probably find a possibility to finance my hobby, self-making of furniture.

Thanks Mike,

I am new trader. Basically, I own my own business but want to do something different. I have been searching for years to find something that I can do different to make a living. 2 years ago I stumbled accross trading and I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT. Well....I havnt made any money yet, but it is something I am very pationate about.

I can literally spend hours and hours researching, learning, and backtesting. For the most part I am still "sim" trading and have only been "live" a few times. I am in no rush to jump into "live" fulltime and loose a ton of money like most traders seem to do. Like most I have tried tons of indicators, systems, and different charts. I have even spent time in a couple different "live" trade room. I have learned a lot, but I realize i am still an infant in the trading world.

Just like your intro, i have learned that there is no "holy grail" or "magic" indicator. I have narrowed down all the systems and indicators to just some simple ones with simple rules and now I am soley focused on myself and what I can control. My goals are now not necessarily how much i can make or what indicators will work, but more on trade management and my ability to follow my plan that i have put in place.

My plan has worked for me in "sim" and backtesting. I just need the confidence and dicipline to implement it with "real" money. I feel i am getting closer to the day when i go live again and not look back.

So thankful there is a "positive" thread to follow.
