Hi,
I found futures.io (formerly BMT) by searching topics on Google and it looks very helpful - so here I am. I've been trading stocks more or less break even for 10 years; so I have no great insights to success. Everything always looks so good in hindsight but then doesn't seem to pan out when I put it into practice.

I've opened an account at Amp futures and use NT7 and can paper trade forever - so that is what I've been doing. So far 5 minute charts using a simple 8x8 crossover seems to give good signals. I use 15 min charts for market direction with a bigger picture of daily charts.

I've looked at AbleTrend but it looks very expensive. I have learned a lot from reading their book and their live webinars seem to show winners but - who knows when it comes to actually putting trading in motion.

Everyone says to have a plan. I am missing that portion and hope futures.io (formerly BMT) can guide me. It seems all the gurus want thousands of bucks to teach you how to write a plan.

Anyway - hoping for the best here at futures.io (formerly BMT)!

Hello Everyone! I'm from Japan. I'm new to trading Futures, so I probably will ask many stupid questions, but I'm reasonably intelligent, so I guess I'll learn reasonably fast. a friend recommended this forum to me and I'm so glad that he did. in time I hope to become part of this big family.

good trading to everyone!

Dear Colleagues,

First of all, I would like to thanks for Big Mike joining me in to this amazing Trading Forum.

I started to trade since two years ago but during the early period, without much trading knowledge, I invested some $ and on the go, I lost it. But I did not lose my interest in the Trading and started to learn forex trading wherever and whenever I get the chance. Now I have gained more knowledge and trading MT4 platform.

Hence, I am happy to be a member in this forum to get some good trading ideas and to share my thoughts and strategies that I come across.

Good luck for all and good Trading for the days and months to come.

Regards,
Farhan

Hello

I'm just a part time trader. I'm doing it because i enjoy it. I think of it as art and keep in mind that "Only the game can teach you the game" (J. Livermore) but places like this can help a lot.

Thanks for sharing.

Marcell

here we go again.......

new game, new luck.

I've been playing around "investments" since 2001, with interruptions, and mostly without a plan/strategy - just for the fun of it.

Getting older now, realizing that the ingenious is always simple.

I'm going back to the roots: people in a marketplace - how their emotions play out and make them do things.

I came to this board through a search for answers to the one question I still find the most intriguing:
how can you analyze a system, that you yourself are a vital part of?

Hi Guys,
Outstanding web spot for this topic Mike - I hope the reward is all you hoped it to be. You have my full cudo's and sincere appreciation. Sorry for taking so long to make this first post Mike. Small world too, the only thing between you and I is Lucas

I'm diving into futures trading full time. I've been a part timer playing with Options and 4x for 10 years while working a full time job. Now I'm focused on this. I started out with a 6 month plan - and now I'm here some 13 mo's later - HA!

I remember someone here saying it takes 2+ years to get your "legs" for this endeavor - I'm hoping to make it within 18 mo's - but we'll see. Be that as it may, I've concluded this will be a "rest of my active participation" type of an objective in always learning and expanding as I've perused the pearls of wisdom scattered throughout this forum.

So, I'm teaching myself C# while increasing my NinjaTrader knowledge - however, after spending a couple of hours on the phone with Mr. D. Jones I am more than interested in Market/Volume Profile analysis. But my main focus is on VWAP's (atta boy Fat Tails and the others guys who add to this subject!) and S/R via fibs.

Looking forward to any and all interactions.

Todd

Hi guys, I am new at this wonderful world of trading.

Been studying courses and following the market since a couple of years ago but since feb I took all my time to really study and practice very seriously.

I am in love with futures.

I bought a course from a guy (spanish, my main lenguage) and after finish it I can say he has no idea what trading futures is.

So here I am , loving it, but totally lost with no system.

I have been checking out Rockwell trading, Todd Mitchell, Jeff Quinto, CME, to name a few that caught my attention.
Been practicing the 1st half and hour strategy and really like it.

Any recommendations on a good method, where can i search, I am about to jump in to Rockewell but the reviews here doesn't help at all, I found them very negative compare with reviews outside of the forum.

I just need a pattern to follow, I understand all about the sicology, money managment, etc at this point I wanna have a good methodology that I can really practice on my simulator.

Thank you guys in advance, Mike I just realize you had sent me emails !!

Hello All,

Have been in the market for more than 9 years now. Essentially a buy and hold investor basing my decisions on fundamental analysis - and this has often given me substantial gains. Only prefer equities. Unfortunately, ventured into leveraged trading (Single Stock Futures) at the wrong time (2008) and burnt my fingers. Got interested in technicals in 2009. However, haven't entered into any trades solely on the basis of technicals yet.

Happy investing / trading

Hello everyone,
I am a late starter - now 62 years of age. Have traded 3 stocks and 5 futures contracts in my entire life.
Feel compelled/directed to start trading seriously.
Would like to start with ES.
Big learning curve ahead of me, but I thrive on challenges and love the edge.
Was wonderfully surprised at finding this forum. Reminds me of the saying that when the student is ready, the teacher appears.
Thank you Big Mike for creating and hosting what appears to be a tremendous forum - it is exactly what I need right now.

James
