Hai Everyone,

This is my first post on Big Mike, and I am a very novice trader. I am planning to learn indicators in Mike trading forum, hopefully i can find a good indicator that suits me At the moment, I am really still trying to calm myself while I am in trading (That's why I need to an indicator that really make myself with confidence so I won't exit my trade when I am not supposed to, and/or enter a trade when I am not supposed to... very scary..). Please ..wish me luck, and any pointer from any is very much appreciated. Thank you guys, and it's very nice to be here.

R.U

Hello Everyone,

I guess my story is like most people. I'm excited about trading, sometimes too much and have blown up the account in my hasty quest for the holy grail. I'm still learning and studying every day and am on my way to doing much better (being more patient). I look forward to learning and earning with everyone here.

All The Best,
Julius

Hi all,

I'm very pleased to find so many eager participants on the forum and such a diverse collection of activity.

I'm reserving too much horn blowing here in an introduction, until I learn more of the proper protocol and etiquette the board favors. I head a design thrust in custom trader / brokerage connectivity in Forex retail and institutional trading and favor improving the symbiotic nature that should be a part of trader / broker efforts, we have gotten away from in so many parts of our domain, within Forex in particular.

With 10 plus years in trading and more than 30 years in system development of automated IT systems, I carry the dubious honor of having created the very first Mt4 ECN design ever published, some years ago, before it became so badly fractured and miss-applied, over leveraged and black-boxed by so many around the globe today. Young in the field at that time, I never could have foreseen the degree of impact both good or bad at the time.

I have a dim view of the manner by which our current regulatory designs act so much in a post-crisis mode and the use of shackles rather than proactive means to bring about effective and productive regulation for both trader and broker. You can't guide a school of fish by simply sticking your hand in the middle of them, yet we continue to see this effect only tightened, as we cope with severe exposures and lackluster economic times.

All the same, it remains my drive to find solutions that create higher levels of brokerage options to afford brokers better ways to profit without taking unfair advantage, while furthering the cause of fast execution and stealth capability, clothed in solid accountability and truly transparent systems which can be proven to protect all parties and benefit both sides of the formula equally, compounding financial growth in a neutral manner.

If good fortune should continue to shine on the things being learned, tested and proved today in our labs, among those I'm teamed with, I hope to soon reveal something new to Forex that redefines these features in Direct Market Access and flexibility of system options, in a highly commercial manner, unlike anything else available in Forex today. Tall order, I know.

At the risk of inviting all the doubting Thomas opinions under the sun, I can only only ask for now... "wish us well", in that we seek a few well managed places and partners soon, by which to home these efforts further as they come to pass and speculation is put to rest. I hope to find our efforts will be well received here and that we find mature, responsible parties, capable of helping grow this to a succeeding reality.

Until then, if I'm quiet here for a few weeks to come, don't assume we're without solid anticipation of bringing further information forward as I can. For now, I want to guard over seeing it not go by the way of earlier efforts by some, continuing to add to the ECN fray, the industry deals with. We can do better, and we must. Thoughtful, careful means are the way to get there and due diligence should guard us along that path.

Until then, thank you for the welcome and the efforts made here to make a fine forum of so many combined resources and creative contributors. Well done Big Mike !!

Regards,

Afp

Thanks to everyone for sharing their stories...
Like many probably, I have spent a few years swing trading -- some successful, some not so. Now, however, I feel I am where I belong and I look forward to getting alot of help here and also the chance to contribute. My plan right now is like others I read which is jump on a moving trend in the direction of the short or long area and ride it until it begins to sputter. In the meantime, I will pick up on as many tips as I can here to capitalize on other strategies that appeal to me and then come up with my own style (or edge as I have read). Thanks again for all the help -- this is great!

I'm just getting started and have many questions. I'm probably going to quietly sit back, read others' post/journals and try to learn something. Thanks Mike and thanks to the others who share their "pearls."

Good morning,

I am new to futures.io (formerly BMT). I have been involved with trading stocks/options for a number of years. I am interested in learning to daytrade eminis. I have looked at numeruous sites but a starting point is difficult to determine due to all the hype. Is anyone familiar with CFRN or TradeSafe. Your help for a newbie is appreciated.

Thanks ,
Bracesman

Hi I'm new to futures.io (formerly BMT) and trading (under two years). I haven't blown up my account because I've been very cautious, maybe too cautious. I think there's a lot of BS out there and some expensive training companies that can soak you for your $$, when really it is mostly about yourself and learning how to read charts. So yeah, I first got hooked up with one of those trainers, and they have their good points, but I was out of work looking for a new career path and the timing was perfect - for them. Moving on, I recently got setup with a broker using Sierra Chart and their service has been very good. My real challenge has been trying to catch the market moves while dropping my daughter off at school and running my own design business. Trading is my backup plan and I hope to take my time and learn it without losing an arm and leg. Looking forward to sharing more with all of you.

best,
Michele
