Hi All,

Happy to join and looking forward to being a part of this community.

I have a couple of years experience trading stocks, but am pretty new to daytrading. At the moment I am studying currency and oil futures. Still a long way to go with these, but I'm sure what I can learn here will help.

Hi all.

Just getting started in futures trading. Currently focusing on the e mini S&P 500 as well as the SPI.

Come from a poker background. Surprised how many similarities there are between trading and poker. Bankroll management, variance, emotional control etc.

Look forward to exploring this forum and contributing where I can!

I have been trading options mainly and just started trading emini.

I would like to learn how people trade eminis.

Thank you!

Hello all,

I started studying forex in Y2k and turned full time retail forex trader in 2002. I have had some successes and some failures but I am still here.

If it is available, I have probably bought it, read it or attended it and finally a few years ago I realized that the answer was with me, not someone else.

From that moment my trading got a whole lot better.

I developed a system which combined price action, supply & demand levels, pivot points and overbought/oversold (imbalance) indications.

I am not a trained programmer (self taught and messy codes), but I have also coded a few MT4 indicators in an attempt to enhance some of the qualities that conventional indicators appeared to offer.

Recently I was working on a new indicator when it suddenly hit me (I must be very slow) that every one of my indicators was simply a mathematical representation of price and worse still .....they were all behind the curve.

As a result of this revelation I started to look into neural networking for forward looking indicators (a well trodden path it would appear). During this research, I happened upon the work of a trader who had given up all forms of indicators and was extolling the virtues of naked trading (price action only).

Continuing my study of price action trading that I discovered Murrey Maths which are now the central part of my trading.

As a result of looking for more info on Murrey Maths I came upon this forum and decided to join.

Sorry for the long intro.

I am an avid options trader with keen interest in automated trading. My trading platform is Think or Swim and maybe Ninja Trader in the near future. I have traded options since Dot Com days but I consider myself a Life Long Learner. Today my quest for learning landed me on Big Mike's forum. I already see a treasure chest of knowledge. A big thanks to Mike for maintaining this forum. - HK

Wojo here, I daytraded stocks for a while, but futures aways interested me, crude oil in particular. My background is in supply chain and logistics for DoD and a large agribusiness. I cam across this site about a month ago as a recommendation from a friend, what a wealth of knowledge here! I literally wear myself out just reading all of the posts on this site, and what a great community I hope to both learn from and contribute to in the coming months

Thanks, Mike for a great forum.
I'm located in Houston (Spring), Texas and have been trading for ~4 years. Started with Futures… moved into Forex… many many books and lots of study, and kissed many frogs along the way.
Anyway, back to TradeStation and decided to focus on ES after coming across Barry Taylor's emini-watch.com site.
I'd be very interested in connecting with other futures.io (formerly BMT) members, emini traders and/or Barry Taylor enthusiasts in/around the Houston area.
Thanks again, Mike for the excellent forum and I'll do my best to contribute constructively where/when I can.
Terry (TBuzz)
