Hey toghether

I am a total newbie in the area of trading, but very interested. Currently I am accumulating general knowledge about trading futures and perhaps later also about trading options... I just want to get into it slightly with a more academic approach at the beginning and then see where it leads me to

I am a fairly new day trader and very excited about joining this forum. I was a none-elite member for a while and still benefited from all the available resources. Now that I am an elite member I’m confident that my trading will improve significantly. Two thumbs up to Big Mike for developing such a great site with vast amount of resources and information for novice trader like me. And all for almost for free of charge. Wow!! And thank you for all the indicators developers. Thanks again!

Hi,
I am new to forex trading and new to forums. I jumped in and got me an elite membership ....lol
and then I realized that I dont know anything about forums and how to read crap in there.
I saw nice article names with promise to teach me something new but never could I find the real article, just a bunch of people arguing about it. I believe there should be a tutorial on how to hunt for the real information in this massive
and mostly confusing jungle of messages and opinions. Because for someone new to forums like this, the abundance of useless words can be very very discouraging.

Amphilocus, welcome to elite membership.

inasmuch as we only use this thread as introduction but your comments deserve a response, in my opinion. so excuse me everyone.

i'm mostly very sympathetic, especially during this joyous seasons of giving and sharing; but your introduction, namely: ....how to read crap, ....the abundance of useless words; seems to display inappropriate disregards and disrespectfulness toward every members at big mike trading, particularly those working tirelessly to provide free services to help other members to become more effectively and consistently profitable traders at no additional cost or at nominal cost.

perhaps, you are still recovering from the holiday spirits ingested night before?

many here regard what are being offered at bmt--ones of the very finest in the trading world in terms of costs vs benefits.

i really hope you would very soon learn to appreciate those exceptional offerings on site here for your own self, alright?

happy new year everyone. cheers.

Thanks for the "warm welcome" and also for pointing me in the right direction... with the exact links ...lol. Your response explains why I used the words "discouraging" and "crap" Have a Happy New Year

All new members are sent private messages with links to videos I have recorded or articles I've written that show them how to search and how to use the forum.

This thread is only for introductions. If you need help using the forum, create a new thread and ask specific questions. There is a big button on the home page that says "ask a question", if you don't know how to create a thread, it will do it for you.

Please do not reply here, as this thread is only for introductions.

Mike

hello everyone
I too have lost money in the first 2 months of live trading using an automated system with no background of daytrading what so ever. I lost more money than i made because of me and not the system i was using between August and October 2010. I quit the automated system and went to sim. I did daytrading on my own in Futures on 1 min. charts reffering to 5 min charts for trends in CL: GC: TF. I use bollenger bands-set at 12; EMA-set at 20; sma- set at 10;using candlesticks and CCI for additional confirmation in NT7.
Since October-9 seven days a week from 6.30 pm until bedtime i have read and watched daytrading systems- BB; ema; sma; candlestick; cci charting facts and information. I am not sure what the wife looks like anymore but i learned where i went wrong-i think- plus i learned more about myself through being very open-minded and dam i have a lot of faults that needed to be straightened out before i do live trading again. I feel the $20'000 that i lost was worth it because iam now a better person and my goal is to get that money back through daytrading My entry is at 76% now but my exits need improving for i am still losing sim money because i either stay in too long or get out too soon. In time i hope to improve this.
ps big mike can i play the arcade now
