My name is Simon and I have many years investing experience, mostly stocks and listed stock options. Mostly been a fundamentals guy too...with a long bias. 2008 wasn't too much fun for me.
With Jesse Livermore's words ringing in my head (seek not to be bullish or bearish, only to be right) I am embarking on learning as much as I can about technical analysis, futures and forex.
Really glad to have discovered Ninja Trader, Big Mike and this forum/blog. I hope to be able to give back more than I learn over time to newer traders than me...there's plenty money out there for all of us to make.
My name is Alan. I live in Sydney Australia. I have been trading the ES for the past 8 months. The first 5 were a disaster and lost my bank account (even though I followed professional traders calling signals in a live trading room!!
I have now turned off the live signal room and have been profitable ever since. I'm still learning lots about trading, Ninja and myself every day. Every day there is a new lesson.
Trading is a tough business, however I'm determined to make the most of this.
Many thanks to Big Mike for creating this wonderful forum and website. It's brilliant!
I'm looking forward to learning and sharing as much as possible from this great site.
Welcome Alan. Another Aussie. Yeh. There are a few of us here now.
It sounds like you may have been a TI client? Been there done that.
All the best with your trading and sleep patterns. lol It's a killer
Even though i trading for few years and i am still treat myself as a student and keep learning. Mainly i trading Hong Kong Future market and sometimes US Emins. Nice to know any news friend from here. Special thanks to Mike for all his effort to setup this forum.
Nice site Mike, looking forward to checking out all the threads and your indicators. I’m a former ERP consultant/road warrior living in cowtown. Been investing for many years and thankfully have made more than I’ve lost – mostly using eyeball analysis. I started trading full time in the last 2-3 years to allow me to stay closer to home/family.
I just began using ninja a few weeks ago and like it so far for trading the eminis. As we all are, I’m always looking for better signals. But, my main challenge right now is to develop a decent ATM strategy and move away from placing market orders.
Hi all, I am located in Eastern Ontario on the St Lawrence River. I was delighted to find the earlier blog by Mike...........it's the first blog I had ever subscribed to but only lasted a couple of weeks for me as I came late. So following everyone to this new Forum was an easy transition.
As a novice e-mini trader I didn't understand all of the acronyms(spelling?) and discussion from the folks that are able to program or have a firm grasp on trading, indicators etc. So here I am and this Forum is proving to be a great tutorial.
Good luck with the site Mike, and good trading .
