I started my trading career as a Forex enthusiast. I am a computer programmer so I learned MQL4 and created a lot of robots -they call them Expert Advisors, but I love calling them robots- and never got to the point of actually making any money on them.

I expended hundreds and hundreds of hours trying to learn how to trade. But there is something wrong with the Forex market. It is not a real market. Brokers can give you any price they want and you sign for it.

After 15 years all I made was a 17.4% return on my account. At least I didn't lose my money, but that is really not a good result.

Years ago, when I was a computer technician a man called me to repair his computer. I used to go to homes and businesses to fix computers, so I went to his home. He was living in a 1 bedroom studio in a very poor neighborhood. I noticed that his 2 beds were full of printed charts.

It got my attention and I asked about the charts. The guy panicked. He looked at me as if I were going to stealth his soul. Finally, I was able to calm him down and I focused on fixing his computer. I like talking while I am fixing a computer because it is time-consuming and repetitive. So I talked a lot about his computer and how to make it work better.

Finally, the guy got a little bit comfortable and all of a sudden he asked me: "Do you see that number on my screen?", I said "Yes", he then replied, "Well, that is my balance in live trading account". I will normally do not care about such a comment, only that the number was a little bit over $4.8 million. Then he said: "I started 8 months ago with $50k from 5 of my friends, I have been trading day and night and that is my current balance, last night I lost $100k+"

Of course, I begged him to teach me how to do it but the only secret I could get was that Forex was not good and that I have to trade Futures. That was all.

So here I am. Trying to learn to trade Futures. I know about technical analysis, price action, and MQL4, still, I feel like a beginner.

I am happy to be here with you guys, hope I could be of help for some and that I get some help when needed.

Hi everybody,

Glad to join this community. Will soon be starting my attempt at getting a funded account. Thought I'd share and kinda journal my progress from time to time. It should help by keeping me accountable, I guess. Hehehe.

Cheers,

I just want open a new account at amp futures i send a 1k usd for test but this money have never been credited to my account and their bank certify they received the money .... i contact several time their support but no help ... do that hapened to other ? what i can do ? i send the money following their instruction for bank wire ... then the money never arrive to my trading AMP account and they dont help . What i can do thank you

Welcome to the world of newbies treated like dirt by AMP. AMP has their own thread on nexusfi.com. One of my posts about a $1K check they lost is here:

I ended up having to stop payment on the $1K check I sent to AMP.

FYI, my complaining about AMP got me banned by AMP. AMP's way of dealing got them banned from this forum.

I had a totally different (much better) experience with Stage 5.

AMP is not representative of everyone in the brokerage business. Find somebody who will treat you with decency and respect.

I have not heard of LeeLoo Trading but you should check the thread here on Futures.io and post any questions/experience there.

I guess we need someone who has an experience with them to tell us. Also, I need to know if they have algo feature and if yes what is their coding language?
Thanx

Hi @Robot,

Please check the LeeLoo review thread and see if it answers your questions. If not, ask your questions in that thread:

This thread is meant just for introductions by new members. Please take your questions to the thread that has been established for them.

Thanks.

Hello, i m happy to join this community.
I started trading btc since 3 years, it taught me a lot of things.. then I tried Forex & CFDS only to realize that futures is the right market for day trading due to ridiculously low fees and centralized exchange volume data better late than never

i do this full time , i m extremly passionate hard worker, hopefully sooner than i can expect i ll be able to contribute and help people grow here.

looking to start actively trading the ES1! contracts.

Hi all,
New 'legitimate' trader now. Got burned big time by off-shore binary bucket scams a couple years back. Recently found Nadex is sort-of kind-of like futures option binary trading but in a regulated exchange with defined limited risk, so am looking to figure it out. Will take time, the site is kind of complex. Although I am just demo trading for now I get bogged down trying to analyze what to do so I don't make mistakes, after all I am trying to repair the damage I did in my previous disasters. I also realize when it gets to involve real $ it will become a worse mind game. So, off to the races, glad to be here. I'd welcome comments from all fellow travelers.
