Yes, Sir! it is impossible to beat the banks, they push you to figure it out, Crazy. sorry if I seem pessimistic, but in the day we relied on human emotions good luck people, I will exit while I still have money and trust me, I've traded every way you can. you can still get that scooby snack once the MACD is in your favor at the Sweet spot you've set your charts up to, but the question is can you make a living at this? me I'm done, I may just trade ABC patterns but basically, I'm done trying to make a living in this market because now it is gambling.

trust me the math and push power is in favor of the Banks, I will go back to scalping before I quit, but that job is harder than an air traffic controller.

My name is Lynn and I started trading forex and stocks without really learning the proper way to do it and I lost. I been coming to this web site to learn and read the many different post which a lot of them are good. So I am here to learn and maybe in the future be able to teach what I learned in here. I got married late in life and never thought I would get married as I been in music all my life. I played with the same classic rock band since 1985 but I don't know how my wife pulled this off but I know now that I am bless with my wife and our 11 years old daughter name Sophia. I just learn how to post but just post my first introduction to my surprise lol. I am looing forward to being in here and I hope each and everyone of you will have great success.

... because I have a dream - one I started actioning in 2016 by hiring an office, buying a new PC, getting 2 21" monitors and funding an account.

The introduction to my dream is here: vproptrading.com (I'm not allowed post a link, and that's fine, I understand why)

so its bigger than me... with 2 years behind me now (July 2018) I know know that I'll never know how much I don't know, but heck I've learnt a lot. I've done a lot of stuff - Honours Math degree, Comp Science Professor in the '80s, when PASCAL was a cool language... did 12 years with Big Blue(IBM) started my 1st company in 2004 (its still running!) - 3 other startups, 2 failed for lack of adequate funding, one (an english language school) sold. Wrote a book "The 10 Commandments of Happiness"

What brought me back to my passion (when I was young trading was only for gamblers and crooks ) was being asked to run a psychology course for traders - I read both mark Douglas books - and wrote the material and ran the course - apparently it was helpful to guys who had an edge.

I've been 2 years looking for "an edge" - and finally realized thanks to @FuturesTrader71 that I probably already had an edge - so now, I'm opening a new account, and I'm going to see if that (math/probability/psychology) edge works!

... guess what.. I know it will with help from the guys... and then come on dream time... time to put some action behind it - and has been said before "Put a Ding in the world!"

Peter

Hello everyone, for years I was a discretionary trader but in recent months I started studying Easylanguage and to create my automatic strategies.
I do Futures and Forex trading.
Within the limits of my knowledge I want to contribute with my help to the community and at the same time I hope to be supported in my shortcomings.

Thank You
fepra

Hi @fepra, I've had a bout a year with TS and Easylanguage - its a brilliant platform, but I feel its better with swing trading days to weeks, as without Volume Profile (I've created some Vol indicators, but profile escaped me!) I couldn't see enough of what was going on at shorter time intervals

so I'm keeping it for longer term stuff, I have a few starts I will focus on with equities on the swing side, but am switching to I/RT and BookMap aka FT71 - because having joined his chat room and seen tons of his webinars (its what brought me to Big Mike )

if you need to reach out on the TS side - give me a pm.. Peter

Hi,

I am glad I found this forum. Been lurking for a while and found very interesting stuff. Now registered and hoping to learn more. I have been trading forex and CL for about 6 months on cash, no SIM. I am not profitable, but more or less stabilised now. Hoping to get into money incoming months. Then consistently profitable for 1-2 years. Then I hope I can trade for living. Looking forward to my success

Hello everyone,

First of all I'd like to congratulate you all for making this forum what it is. It truly is a great resource.

Personally I primarily trade custom algos based on quantitative analysis utilizing various platforms and technologies and I look forward to contributing where I can be of assistance.

As George E. P. Box so eloquently put it, "All models are wrong but some are useful."
