I am a new user from Canada. I have been trading futures for the past 10 years. I only trade index futures in particular ES Mini and YM.

I usually look for MA crosses and MACD crosses and then trade in the direction of the trend. My major platform is
an application I have been working on for the past 5 years that runs on Excel (via DDE and Active X plugins).

My trading server is based in the Equinix Data Center in Secaucus New Jersey.

I heard about Futures.IO from a visit to NinjaTrader's facility in Chicago, IL. I purchased a Multi Broker license, while visiting and looking over the C# script the platform runs on.

Regards,
Ross

Hi all, I experienced trading in Indexes and Forex about 7 years ago. Having blown up my capital then, I stopped trading. I believe, with age and experience, I am more sensible and stable now to start trading again. And, here I am.. Looking forward to getting some nice ideas and guidance here..

Hi, I'm just another newbie dropping by. I'm totally new to trading futures and am currently trading on demo with NinjaTrader 8. While I have had a background trading stocks in an Asian market, and some forex, I feel like futures is a bit different an animal to the other two. I've been interested in trading commodities for a while and I'm guessing futures is one way to trade them? I decided to create an account here so I can have some guidance on where to start, and also develop strategies to trade futures using NT8.

Thank you, Mike, for creating this forum!

I achieved FIRE last autumn - I walked out of a high paying job because I valued my efforts more than my employer unilaterally decided. But, I could only do that because (despite having made and lost hundreds of thousands) I was confident in my ability to make my money work.

I've traded NG a LOT (huge win for me was the Mar/Apr 2018 spread when it got mispriced at -.6x and rode it down to -.28), CL and BZ a bit (usually the intercommodity spread rather than either/or), the occasional foray into KC, LE, etc. But, my main focus, the one that's taking me to the promised land, is the VIX. 9 times out of 10 I'll take the short vol play and even on that rare occasion where I go long vol, it's with a lot less capital.

This is what I'm teaching my kids because I believe that, appropriately managed, this will lead them to become FI a good 10 years faster than I did.

G'day all,

I just wanted to introduce myself per the email suggestion. I am brand new to Futures trading and got into it from a recommendation by a friend. I opened a small account through TradeStation and using their platform. I randomly came across this forum and hope that it will be a good place for me to ask questions and learn.
