Traders in their willing selling Tops and Buying Bottoms wants to control the market rotations.
In this way they will perfectly feel that they "control the Market" and their feelings !

Since I trade and track Order Flow all the Market Rotation are more Clear for me as I can see
the Imbalance between Bids and Ask.
And I compare that to the Price Action.

I found my way to Tops and Bottoms only by OrderFlow reading

Hi,

I am from Melbourne Australia. I have a programming/maths/stats/probability background. I've been learning/absorbing/experimenting/analysis/back testing for the last 18 months. Done some live trading with mixed results.

I spend every spare waken moment (and probably some un-spare/un-waken moments) of my life trying to nut this trading thing out. I even stopped a 30-40 hour a week World of Warcraft habit to do so.

I use Multicharts.Net (mainly cause it was free) I love the power of C# to program custom indicators/signals etc.

I try to scalp the Dax of an evening and would like to be put in touch with people's different scalping techniques. I need help with exit strategies (both P&L)and anything people use to assist with patience and discipline.

Hello traders, I'm a Kenyan citizen, started learning to trade earlier this year, I'm happy to be here and meet other fellow traders, my trading journey has been so far fun though hard sometimes, but all in all I know to become profitable or successful, one has to be resilient. My name is Phil and thanks to the administration for accepting my registration, oh.. I'm also a university student.

Newbie trader here. Stationed in the city that never sleeps ---NYC.

I'm very honored to be part of this great community. I can't wait to see what knowledge I gain from such diverse community. Hopefully, I can give some wisdom back in time...since I'm new to all of this.

A little more about me:

I currently in College studying medicine. However, I have this crazy fascination with the markets and how they operate.
My goal is just to be a profitable trader. By profitable, I am not talking about millions of $$ (2k-3k) is more than enough for me.

Any advice on where to get started is greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Becky,
As a middle aged physician and a struggling trader, I'll offer you this: You are facing an uphill battle if you continue the path to medical school, especially if you want to be a profitable trader. My advice, if you are interested in the markets, if you want to make serious profit, and if you want to have "balance" in your life, then stick to trading. How many burned out doctors do you know versus burned out traders? You can spend the tuition for medical school or the tuition for becoming a profitable trader, but which one will result in long term health (emotional/physical/spiritual), happiness, and quality life? Which one is more tightly regulated? Which path contains more bullshit? Which path provides more freedom? Neither path is an easy one, so choose wisely. Best wishes in your endeavors.

Compared to a trader, a physician's job is much more socially useful. The social value from buying and selling activities is negligible compared to healing people and saving lives. At the end of the day, I believe a successful doctor will feel more fulfilled than a successful trader. He is also much more respected in the eyes of society. In terms of money, both will be wealthy if they are successful. If I had a choice, I will choose to be a successful physician anytime over being a successful trader.

If I had a successful career, I would not have chosen the trader's path. I was somewhat "forced" into trading after losing my full-time job a few times and seeing little prospects for the new job that I found. I don't feel proud at all as a trader because of the low social value of the trader's job.

The world will be a far worse place if successful doctors, engineers and practitioners of other useful professions switch to trading. For the jobless and "losers" facing job disruption, trading successfully will be a saviour.

Thanks, man!! It's great to hear I'm not the only one in the field. I definitely want to consider more trading as I don't want to work in the medical field forever.

Do you or anyone have advice on what books or programs I should read or start with? It's really hard and time wasting looking for programs as a newbie. Additionally, all of them usually promised 1000% more money blah blah....which of course I know it's B.S.

Not looking for a quick solution program just want to learn the basic and some great strategies that I can implement and practice on my own.

Thanks, everyone!
