In fact, I have been trading for many years.... still a bit unstable... Hope to share with experts here as trading is a lonely path.

Hi all, I've been trading Russell 2000 and Nasdaq - I've made money, but would like to automate my strategies, I have very limited programming skills. In addition, I would like to start to trade the Bond market and I'm also interested in Options - what is the best place I can go to educate myself?

Appreciate your response

Hello MCESAR, I think there is no single source that will provide everything to you to make you a professional trader. In my opinion, you need to keep diversifying your source of information and keep learning, practicing and developing your own techniques. Automating your strategy, if you have a successful one, may be available with many brokers platforms such as TradeStation and MT 4 &5, Multicharts as well as others. most of these platforms is not required "high skilled programmer" to use them because they are user friendly. Other companies also provide you with an "adequate" support for starters such as EABUILDER eabuilder.com Expert Advisor Builder - Create indicators and strategies for MetaTrader 4 & 5 and TradeStation
In this site, Big Mike provide a lot of info on automating your trade. Please keep practicing with demo account before pitting your real money in action?

Good Luck

Hi !
Since it look like its a part of the tradition to make a introduction post, here it is :)

I'm Robinson Labourdette, i started to get interresed in Trading around 2 years ago, i'm trading with the modern elliot wave theory, on the CL.

Even if i created my futures.io account around a year ago, i never posted anything, and, with the journaling event of June, in which i'm really interresed (that's a great initiative by the way, bravo !), about having some feedbacks on a journal (i have a private journal for over a year), being enabled to share and speak with others traders is great. And i was also going to retry a 50k combine around september, so if i do finish in the winners, i could do a bigger combine that what i was planning. And, even if i don't win, i would have win some experience, some great discussion, and maybe the want to keep having a public journal, its a 999999 risk/reward :)
Anyway, i'm just doing this quicly, but i'm going to have a bigger introduction, of me and the modern elliot wave theory if you are interresed by this subject, you could check out the journal : Mastering Modern Elliot Wave for Consitent Profits Journal; in 2 days.

Have a great day !!

Hi Robinson,
I tried EW many times but I wasn't succesful in mastering it! However, I got more curious to learn about "Modern" Elliot Wave and how you apply it to your trading techniques!

Please add me to your list?

Hi @Robot !

I hope you will love the modern elliot wave theory, and you are right, using the old elliot wave theory, is "easy" to do, but to do it every day, its really hard, and not really profitable (i did this for over a year !).

I just send you a friend request, but i'm not really going to explain by typing, the modern elliot wave theory, but if you didn't check it out, i started a trading journal, and its more a place where i explain, and show how to use the modern elliot wave theory. I didn't yet explain the patterns and the modern elliot wave theory, and the way its working, and how we can use it as traders. I want to do it well, and not rush this big subject, so if you stay tuned in the next days on this tread, i'm sure you will find a lot of answers to questions that you may wander, and not even think of it yet !

By the way, the elliot wave theory (modern and old one), are really simple to understand, but its way harder to use, because its asking a lot of practice, but with the modern theory, we can totally forecast the markets with very little subjectivity, so its easier to use the the old theory. A 3 years old could understand both theory, not necessarily applied them, but i could understand them (i'm not saying this as an insult lol, every "wavers" had a lot of troubles to start, but its rewarding), and don't worry about trading systems, i will explain mine that i created for the modern elliot wave theory, but they are so simple that, in this case a 3 years old could use them !
So, if i can tell you a final word, the key to master the elliot waves, is practice. I know it can be pretty though, and that's why i want to do my best to help others not having to do the same lonely parkour than me to be enable to use the theory, and sadly, unless in big banks or hedge funds, there is not really any services, or person (free or not free, i'm doing this for free don't worry ), that offer this, even if there is forecast services, its only forecast, and not in day-trading. And that's why on the journal, you i started making blank charts with my counts, and why this count a day after, so that anybody can practice, without being left alone on a chart.
Here's the link if the little icon don't load up :

I wish you the best, and my post is already to long, so have a great day !!

Dear Pethof,
I guess since 2900 days passed, nothing changed on earth except the whole world. Welcome back to Mars and good luck.

Hello Everyone,

Happy 4th of July to my fellow Americans! I have already responded to a few posts and I realized that it was rude of me not to introduce myself.

My name is john and I trade fulltime, mostly oil, the Dow and currencies. I have been trading either futures, forex or options for about 20 years now. Lately mostly futures.

Happy trading everyone.
