Good Afternoon fellow traders,
My name is Justin, I am 32 years old from Wisconsin. While I've been a member to this site since 2011, this is my very first post. My Journey begins 10 years ago when I was just finishing college and was introduced to someone who was actively trading Forex. I don't believe he was a profitable trader, however, he introduced me to the concept of trading and ever since I have been hooked. In my early years I spent countless hours over at ForexFactory trying to learn everything I could about currency trading, and searching for the best indicators and strategies that would make me ALL the money. Needless to say I learned a lot, and thankfully I didn't have much money at the time, because knowing what I know now, I would have lost LOTS of it. As time went on, I stayed persistent because I was determined to do well in this industry. Fast forward 6 years or so, and thousands of hours of chart time, I got rid of all those indicators and started to develop my own personal strategy. The past 4 years I have been a profitable trader, and in the past year it has really taken off and started changing my life. I've more recently given up the spot forex market and switched to trading futures, which is also why I am now becoming active on this website. My main focus is trading 6E and YM. I trade with Interactive Brokers using the Ninjatrader platform, and my trade style is discretionary. I've cleaned up my charts and mostly focus on volume, price action, and areas of structure. While I don't believe in clouding my already proven strategy with more tools, I am here to learn, and more particularly I would like to learn more about order flow, and how to read indicators such as Gomi's. I also plan on starting a journal.

Regards,
Justin

I am Himanshu thakur. 20 years old . From India
I've been trading for nearly a year now.
Just completed my graduation in hospitality and hotel administration and now decided to take trading as full time.
I have taken a few courses in relation to trading.
Currently trading in nifty futures.
But have to admit that I have had very little success so far.
I trade along with my brother. We decide strategies and stocks to invest next morning then one stays ready to make entry or exit and other quickly calculates the targets, stop losses etc etc.
A lot of sorting and questions i need to get solved to finally get some consistent profits. Even if it stays low in the beginning.
Glad to join such forum where i can interact with other traders as I cant find much people in my locality.
Hope good for myself here and great for the forum and fellow members.

Dear Himanshu, I am also from India, Gujarat to be precise. What u doing is interesting but i don't think it is right approach to start with. Although I can be wrong as well regarding my comment. I still recommend you to join indian Traders forum Traderji. I started from there 8 years back and now I can say I have good grasp on it.

Happy weekend.

Thanks for the response mate. Just registered there too.
I am spending most of my time to know which stocks can move the next day. I get it right for most of the time. Stop loss when saves a lot of money of mine.
Can you tell me if this is the wrong way or am I failing in the actual trading strategy. Please guide me.

Hi Team,
...I think good karma took me to this site!... looks exactly what I was looking for... a positive environment where failure is just considered an opportunity to know our level of development...I am from Sydney... a beginner in trading although been looking into it for many years with the BIGGEST procrastination you can imagine ( maybe fear to failure?)... lately been looking at this more seriously... did some options trading ... very small but profitable ex broker fees...just baby steps....to be honest I am not sure how much I can contribute to this knowledgeable site but will try at least to say what NOT to do ...
Hope everyone are doing well.....Jorge

When I started trading 8 Years back, I also used to doing something on same grounds. after day closing I was calculating open Interest build-up. and any scrip which is having more than 20% OI inc. have my attention on very next day. and tht method was good for some scalping but nothing more than tht. Now a days, tremendous material available to trade based on Market profiles, Volume Profiles, Order Flow and VWAP. In a same scrip u can go short and long in a same day and make money by avoiding using too many indicators.

Hope this helps. All the best.

Hi Futures members

my name is Thomas , I am from south Africa and all new to this group
I am more of a binary option trader , trading with Nadex on the demo account , but it is not easy to trade with yourself.
I have done this now for over a year and blew out nearly 6 accounts ,that is why I use the demo account . I know there is no quick fix but I have to start some were.

Thanks Big Mike for the opportunity and to all the subscribers out there

Happy trading

Hi Everyone,

Cole here from Sydney. My friend started trading two years ago and he has motivated me to take it up too.

Total newbie and willing to learn, don't have the cash for the structured courses on offer everywhere so it's going to be tough, but exciting.

I took 3 weeks just reading and only just starting to simulate.

I like it

Thanks
Cole

....don't have money for structured courses?....

That should be counted as your blessing.

Keep your cold cash in your vest til you are ready to trade....

Then you may give it partially or wholly away to
person taking up position against yours. LOL

Just spend your time on course here having to pay
practically anything BUT ask lots of questions to quench
your thirst on learning to be profitable in trading.

You then might like it alot more. LOL

Hello to all,

My name is Mark. I am a new trader trying to figure this all out. I've taken several classes on trading and learning to use those techniques as well as trying to learn chart patterns. I don't need to make a fortune and my main goal for the next two years is consistency. I've learned the need to work on my patience and understanding there are always trades available, so don't trade just to trade.

Safe trading to all.

Mark
