Hi everyone,

I am new to trading and like most everyone have a tone of newbie questions that need to be sorted out before I can get into the market for real and see how it really works. Happy trading!

Brett

Hey everybody,

I am currently learning to trade the ES. I prefer to scalp/ actively daytrade and am currently focused on order flow and market profile after realizing that indicators were not gonna work for me. I'm the type of person who needs to know the underlying theory behind why something works, not just that it does. So order flow and AMT suits my way of thinking.

I originally got into trading my last year of college while learning to invest. I mistakenly bought some stock that I didn't mean to and sold a few minutes later and got a popup message from my broker about the pattern day trader rule. I remember googling "what is a day trader" and the rest is history. I am extremely passionate about trading and finance and hope to make this my full time job as soon as I can.

I went to school for structural engineering which is what I've been doing since then (graduated 10 months ago). I pretty much hate it. The people, the stress, the cubicles, long days of grinding through calculations, everything. I'm a self motivated person and like to do my own thing. I consider myself very fortunate to have discovered trading.

If any other ES traders on here are in the SD area send me a dm if you want to meet up and bounce ideas off each other, I want to connect and learn from other like minded people which is why I'm here! Thanks

Hey all,

I am new to futures trading and I'm sure I will have some very 101 questions but I look forwarded to learning from everyone and eventually being able to give back to the community. I intend on trading the ES and Nikkei 225 but have a lot of practice to do before going live.

Jeff

greetings to all. New to the forum. Been lurking for a couple of months though. I've been trading futures and options most of my adult life. Went away from options years ago and now mainly focused on futures. Good trading to everyone.

I am relatively new and was wondering what most of you would recommend as the most
reliable and consistent indicator. I understand an indicator does not guaranty success, but having a
reliable and consistent one will surely help. thank you!

Hello , I have been in and out of the futures markets for over 30 years ! Finally I feel comfortable selling commodity options . You don't need any fancy thetas or deltas just pure seasonals and your good to go !
