Welcome to futures.io.

Welcome, Guest!

This forum was established to help traders (especially futures traders) by openly sharing indicators, strategies, methods, trading journals and discussing the psychology of trading.

We are fundamentally different than most other trading forums:
  • We work extremely hard to keep things positive on our forums.
  • We do not tolerate rude behavior, trolling, or vendor advertising in posts.
  • We firmly believe in openness and encourage sharing. The holy grail is within you, it is not something tangible you can download.
  • We expect our members to participate and become a part of the community. Help yourself by helping others.

You'll need to register in order to view the content of the threads and start contributing to our community. It's free and simple, and we will never resell your private information.

Hi All

I was a bondtrader for more than 20 years. So, Bund,Bobl and Schatz is my natural habitat. ;-)
Since July 16 i gathered all my courage and started trading on my own. So far i enjoy making money for myself.
I like the freedom, trade whatever i want to trade and take the consequences when i was wrong and right. Mainly i want to learn. And trading opens up a tremendous universe.
I joined Big Mikes site searching for support for my adventure and i find it extremely helpful. I use TS and IB and try to program my experience from the last 20+ years. But i am just an old bondtrader and not a programmer. But i am willing to learn.
So, it will take some time till i am able to come up with some useful stuff.
I love to be a father of 3 little ones.

JK

DIY programming using drag and drop of blocks of code that have been tested and proven may help you get your 20+ years of bond trading knowledge into a reliable systematic trade. Best of luck to you.

hi and thank you. I'm looking to trade OSE Nikkei minis mainly, since the old team is letting me trade through their gate way for level3 access.

Scalping the Bonds

Futures Edge on FIO

Are you a NinjaTrader user?

Hi everyone, I am learning how to scalp the bonds using John Grady's - NOBS method. I'd be interested to chat with people who do the same. Anyone from the Netherlands?
Good trading :-)

Introduction

Hi everyone,

My first post in futures.io.. I had created the account a year ago and was not using it... My apologies for this..
I am a retail trader who has failed many times and blown up the account multiple times.
I trade in Indian market - NSE.

Currently using Gomi's Volume Ladder in NT7 which has given me a new dimension in trading after getting to know about Orderflow..

I request all your help and suggestions..

Thanks,

Cheers...

New to trading

I have no stories of how i have grown throughout my experiences, because i have none thus far, lol. However, ive been studying, back-testing, implementing a trading plan, forward testing, and revising for quite some time now. I initially wanted to start in the futures market, but opted to go for the currency market instead. I'm a technical purist and have no concern with any fundamental insight except the dates of major new events, to stay clear and safe away on the sidelines, in regards to not blowing my account. I use ninjatrader as my platform and now its time for me to learn how to create or find indicators to help my studies widen. Im hoping that this community will help me fill whatever unseen voids i have through my learning curve by showing me the answers i may not even know i have a question to yet. I hope that anybody whose as passionate as me, and puts forth the hard work necessary in this industry, will find prosperity and success within their lives, for that is
what i hope to bring out for myself.

Cheers
