Intermediate Trader seeking to be with other like minded holistic traders
I'm so glad to have come across this forum/community. Trading is a lonely career and being part of a community with like minded traders who are positive & holistic makes it easier to move forward. At the moment, I have challenges following my rules and have lost a number of capitals this year. I know my challenges lie between my ears and I am working on it.
I trade DOW30 futures & the major forex spot currencies.
Being part of this community may assist me in improving my psychology and success in trading. I look forward to scanning through the different topics to learn from other traders.
I'm Zoom and I am pretty much new to trading. Discovered this forum after I almost signed up for Day Trading Academy and the honest feedback here saved me a lot of dollars. Grateful to the members.
Background...I've studied finance and work in corporate finance. I'm looking to learn a new skill to help supplement my income. I'm interested in emini futures, but from what I've read here most forum members here suggest ETFs for beginners.
Looking forward to meeting you all and if you do have any advise for beginners, please dont hesitate to reach out.
I blew up my account more times than I can remember. I have since reinvented my trading style and systems. I have read more mathematics books lately and I am looking to see what kind of styles people have been employing lately. I get a little stagnant in my bubble and am looking to expand my conversations.

I am a new member interested in getting to know more stuff and share ideas. I am currently trading stocks, with a very limited experience in futures/options that I found very interesting in terms of making money fast and also loosing them fast.
I am James from South Africa and have been trading for the last fifty years.
I never made a profit until I came across a life changing book written in simple English by Dr Alexander Elder called Trading for a Living. Once I had followed his Triple Screen and Impulse systems I found things improved.
Then I read Phil Town's two books on valuing equities.
At the moment I am working on Volume Profile and Ichimoku analysis for Excel spreadsheet. I would value any assistance that one could give.
Diversifying my 1 income stream risk existence, and thus have decided to start trading! One could argue, that the logic applied is flawed as capital will be placed at risk by such diversification, but alas, logic is not always empirical!
Chaos and randomness only appear as such until the fundamentals of a system are understood!
I am here to learn such decision support fundamentals!
I'm trading sim for 7 months now, and I can honestly say, i'm still lost.
Anyway, been following this forum for some time now, and decided to become active and try to learn from people that really know their stuff and maybe even give me some feedback.
Anyway, i'm from brazil and trade futures contracts of dolar(10 thousand dolar contracts) against brazilian real.
Let's get started in this new phase
Hello everyone! My name is Chuck and I work a full time job and literally just finished my first live trading session. I have been paper trading for almost a year now on and off. I use Ninja Trader 8 and trade only the S&P Emini for now. I would rather learn 1 market than confuse myself trying to trade multiple markets from the start. I closed my day today 220.00 in profits less commissions. Anyways, I'm thankful I found this group and hope to learn more as my journey continues. I started my account with 2133.00 and I think it will be interesting to see if I can slowly grow that over time. I also love using Renko bars for my charts. Thanks again for having me!
