this is a really nice place, thanks Big Mike! I guess I have to take days (if not months) to explore it.

Happy trading

Does anyone know if Rena Trader aka Diamond setups (Renato Santos) is legitimate. It is interesting that there is little information on the internet - which I take as a good sign. If he was ripping people off, I would think we would have heard about it by now. But on the other hand, it is surprising that others are not singing his praises if he is as good as he says . . . unless they want to keep the secrete to themselves?!

Please reply if you have any personal experience with him.

Thanks

Hi!

I did a lot of simulated trading, some real ones, trade options, now learning futures spreads.
Developing a platform to compare trader's account or portfolio P/L with a selected benchmark.

Simulated futures spread trading is going well for me on TOS, would like to get confirmation of the same results on another platform(s) and select the one for real trades. Open to discuss things...

Wishing You great positive P/Ls!

Artu

Hello everyone,

Happy to have joined here as it seems one of the more respectable forums on the web. I'm a rather new trader but hope I can make a positive contribution here moving forwards (and of course learn from the threads posted).

Thanks,

hello all,

my boyfriend introduced me to trading, he is a holder of long positions as he has vast knowledge of world economy trends that he has witnessed in his 10 years of trading. however, i am just a beginner. he tried to teach me some stuff, but i decided to also find some other resources for myself. took one course online that i found helpful, but that road has ended, course complete, but the learning never ends. i, myself, like the quick in and out of day trading. eventually tho, i would like to hold long positions, such as getting a long in feb on crude oil, but i guess that moment has past. also interested in currencies, but that the moment its s&p and i do have experience in korean futures if anyone has questions, super volatile. currently on a remote island with nothing but time and a wifi connection. hoping to really get immersed in here and learn a lot, and hopefully in turn help others. 화이팅!!!

Guys and Gals :

Just want to say Hello. I've poked my head in this Traders community for Years and I've finally seen the Value of this website started by Big Mike. Much Thanks !

I've been Trading Electronic Futures since 1993 in Chi-town. Currently, I'm trading 5 strategies on roughly 50 different Futures contracts. My strategies consist of : simple arbitrage, mean reversion and scalping techniques. Nothing complicated at first glance. I've been profitable every year ...most good, some ok and a few ridiculous. Currently, I've got 2 Daughters about to go to college So I need to hop to it on this Website and Learn a few more strategies .

I'm hoping to connect with some new Traders since about 95% of the traders I've known over the years are now "Former traders" . And Most importantly, Learn a thing or two.

Thanks Big Mike,

Jim

Dear all,

I started trading on my own in 2006 as an amateur from uni days punting blindly on oil and equity index via spread betting and blew up the account several times trying to be smart making money from the trend in oil rally but trading equity from the short side thinking equity is overvalued and never thinking about correlation between the two asset class. Obviously, those who think equity was overvalued in 2006 got burnt as it rallied to 2008 until the subprime and collapsed but rallied again to make fresh multi year high in 2015 thanks to helicopter Ben.

After burning through my account for the third time I decided to take a chill pill and find a job and earn some money the traditional way. Fortunate enough to land a job as a trader at a small bank trading FX for a living. After working for a while, then I realise that there is actually no edge/advantage working for a bank/fund/hedgefund etc as market is extremely efficient and the FX market is too big for any one individual to move the market unless of course you are the central bank.

Even till today, it is obvious that even hedge funds are not as smart as we "perceive" them to be - plenty of headlines on Bloomberg recently from the great Paul Tudor facing redemption to Alan Howard, nobody is spared - and there is no edge for them as central banks policy dictate market movement - which at best is anyone's guess given how indecisive the FED has been lately. So I came to the conclusion that the only way to be profitable trading is to focus on price, and price alone, and I figured the best traders that rely on price alone to make a living are probably all of you in this forum!

I look forward to sharing some of my charts with you guys and in return hope to learn something new from all of you.

Thanks for creating this forum Big Mike,
JT
