Hello All. I just started trading CL futures from last couple of months. I was introduced to CL futures trading using Interactive Brokers by one of my professors. I have a full time job and this is just something I want to try on the side.
Things were good in simulated trading. But with the real trading, I made some money and lost it all. Atleast my principle is still intact This loss made me search for help and stumbled upon this forum. I dont feel very bad about myself after reading some of the posts here. I am doing the same mistakes that others have done in the past. There is a lot of good advice and strategies here. Hoping to assimilate them and develop my trading skills.
Hello to all the noble souls out here to help each other.
This is Rajesh and I am based in New Delhi, India.
I have been actively investing or using swing trading methods over the past 3 years. Have had modest success thus far, and am looking to play a more active role in trading. Currently, I dabble in index stocks and initial experience on futures and options has been a fearful one.
I hope I would be able to make the most of knowledge on offer here, as I contemplate very very intensely whether or not to go for elite membership circle.
Thanks for reading and best of luck in your trading or investing journey through a beautiful life.
My first week of membership has only reinforced what a good decision it was to join:
Thanks are owed to Big Mike for quickly fixing an error in my login (of my own doing) - much appreciated!
The Futures Option area drew me in from the first time I browsed through, and I felt immediate comfort in finding others here who trade by the ideas expressed in Cordier - and are willing to post about it.
My search for a suitable broker ended Thursday night after reading about DeCarly. Just as the post expressed - my email was answered by Carly herself in under an hour. Amazing.
I like to position trade by selling premium - vertical spreads, strangles, naked calls / puts, and now I'm learning about ratio back spreads. I tried day trading and learned a lot about markets and myself. For those who are successful at it, my hat's off to you. Looking forward to contributing when I can.
I am trading futures since last June with some mixed results, after having a loosing first year, surprise, surprise, things are looking up much better this year due to mostly newly acquired money management skills. I have a full-time job that I like with good pay and very good benefits; trading futures is just a "hobby" for me for now, my reasons of learning a new skill is to be able to continue this when I retire, make it profitable in the mean time, to turn this"hobby" into a income stream by retirement time...
I joined this forum to expand my horizon, find some answers to my questions, learn and try new techniques, and educate myself.
Thank you for the warm welcome. My name is Lubomir. I have difficulty with the English language, so I apologize for typing errors.
I am a beginner trader (three years) Forex trading currency pairs EURUSD mainly, but still Seeking a other new trading opportunities, and in particular to obtain information from experienced traders.: Pcguru:
I am a bit introverted as far as doing a lot of posting anywhere, but this seems like a healthy, friendly place. Thank you all for that.
I have been trading the index futures for a long time and have moved from a destroyer of money to a modest accumulator. I use ninjatrader, but am all ears as far as what smarter, more successful people are doing.
I'm a chemical engineer, 57 years old, and getting ready to transition from a career in the oil business to semi-retirement and making money without being a slave to the alarm clock and a corporate cubicle. My wife and I are in a good financial position.
I've spent the last few years working as a risk management / safety engineer for offshore deep water drilling and lately with Texas non-conventional shale horizontal / frac wells. I've dabbled in stocks, mostly investment and IRA/401K accounts, and for the past few months I've been studying trading crude oil futures.
I evaluated Think or Swim and Ninja Trader, and I really like the feel of Ninja Trader so I'll go with that platform for now. I've read probably 50 books on trading, studying forums and chats, and I'm beginning to formulate a trading plan.
I still have a few months to get solid on my platform software, and I will convince myself I'm ready for live trading after I've proven myself on simulations.
This seems like a great place to learn, I just completed "The Crude Dude's" thread - WOW! Great stuff here!
