Welcome to futures.io.

Welcome, Guest!

This forum was established to help traders (especially futures traders) by openly sharing indicators, strategies, methods, trading journals and discussing the psychology of trading.

We are fundamentally different than most other trading forums:
  • We work extremely hard to keep things positive on our forums.
  • We do not tolerate rude behavior, trolling, or vendor advertising in posts.
  • We firmly believe in openness and encourage sharing. The holy grail is within you, it is not something tangible you can download.
  • We expect our members to participate and become a part of the community. Help yourself by helping others.

You'll need to register in order to view the content of the threads and start contributing to our community. It's free and simple, and we will never resell your private information.

Hello

Hello,

I explored futures trading about 3 years ago. I took the advice to practice on the sim or a live demo feed for a few weeks realizing I couldn't consistently come out ahead and couldn't put in the real time I needed. This year I have a plan to learn more about automating strategies to drive in the emotionless discipline that trading effectively needs. My goal is to figure out how do develop strategies, how to evolve strategies and start trading real money later this summer if I hit the milestones I want. I figure I might start with European market futures so I can play in the morning before work. Eventual goal is to migrate to full-time if I can pull it off.

Currently using NinjaTrader7/8. Brushing off my old coding skills with some indicator and strategy development.

-J

Hi all,

Like many of us, as a beginner I was enamored with the possibility of a holy grail indicator combination. This cost me a lot of money.

Now I'm focusing on wising up, improving my order flow/tape reading skills and learning from/contributing to others as I develop.

Glad to be on board.

Best,

GT

Hi!!

Hello!

My name is Francesco,
I'm an engineer and I love caving.

I eventually got into futures.io I'm trying to learn and improve my trading skills, since I'm going to trade with more attention in the future (I've blown off an account implementing the wrong, emotional, strategies).
I'm spending some months to prepare myself for a second chance and hope to take advantage of your contributes and to give mine to the forum.

Thank you,
happy trading!

Hi

Futures Edge on FIO
Hi traders , I'm touzi from Morocco,I have been trading forex mainly eurusd for a while and I felt something was missed ,the price alone was not enough for me, of course it was the volume ,thats why I moved to the futures market , price and volume gives to me a better view and good reading of the market .
look forward to learn a lot and hopefully give something back.
good trading

Hi,

I have been actively trading for the last 10 years with mediocre success. Previously used Tradestation but in the past week moved to NinjaTrader. I like what I see so far. Many of the threads I was reading on NT lead me to this site. Looking forward to participating in the discussions and becoming a better trader.

Hi

Hi

I work in IT - getting bored being laid off all the time (I do contract work)

Started trading fx pairs before news is released with some success

Looking for indicators that will confirm when a move is over - and if there will be a retracement

Have recently been looking at order flow

Futures trading newbie

Hello everyone from the sunshine state. I started day trading in Apr 2015 without any knowledge with 70K. I had what's called beginners luck, because at one tome I had 90K in my portfolio. Then, I started to take more risks and lost most of it. I have about 20K and still hanging to dear life with investments in UGAZ and TVIX. I went to a one day seminar and I talked to an instructor, and he recommended I switch to futures trading. I've been doing some on-line research and I came to this page. Hopefully I'm home. S and P 500 caught my attention, and I want learn everything about how to trade. I'm looking for an online platform because in Scottrade I cannot trade futures. My goal is recover at least half of my loss, and to make $200 daily trading futures.
